What makes the PMASD Carabao 5K special is that it brings together Filipino American culture, preventive health, and community celebration in one experience.

The Carabao 5K brings these elements together with a shared purpose: improving community health, particularly cardiovascular health, while celebrating Filipino heritage.

It reflects the belief that living healthier can be joyful, social, and part of our everyday lives—not just another medical recommendation.

This would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, community partners, and volunteers. Their generosity, collaboration, and countless hours of work help bring this vision to life and create an event that connects people in meaningful ways.

As a Filipino American physician-led nonprofit, PMASD is proud to create a space where culture and health intersect. While rooted in Filipino heritage, the Carabao 5K welcomes people of all backgrounds to come together, celebrate, and take steps toward a healthier future.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2026 Carabao 5K possible. We look forward to continuing this mission together. 🇵🇭❤️

SDPAL congratulates Juliet Ann Sangalang, a 2026 Star Awards honoree! Juliet Ann will be awarded on Monday, October 26th at Tom Ham's Lighthouse. Thank you, Juliet Ann, for the outstanding volunteer service you offer at PASACAT.

Here's more from PASACAT about Juliet Ann's involvement:

We are honored to nominate Juliet in recognition of her dedication, leadership, and invaluable contributions to PASACAT. Serving as both Music Director and Board Secretary, Juliet generously shares her time, talent, and energy to strengthen our organization. As Music Director, she brings expertise, creativity, and passion for Philippine folk music to our performances. She understands that music is more than accompaniment; it helps tell our stories, honor our heritage, and connect audiences to Filipino culture. As Board Secretary, Juliet is dependable, organized, and attentive to detail. She approaches every responsibility, from documenting Board discussions to supporting programs and performances, with professionalism and care. What makes Juliet truly special is her willingness to give so much without seeking recognition. She is a trusted leader and teammate whose contributions are felt both onstage and throughout PASACAT. Juliet embodies the dedication, service, talent, and commitment this award celebrates. We are grateful for all she contributes and proud to nominate her for this well-deserved honor.
