As we continue celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re excited to highlight the fourth Hispanic-owned business that we visited during Business Appreciation Week: Wholesome Healing!

We enjoyed learning about how Vanessa Kellner and her team use child-centered play therapy to discover what’s at the root of behavioral challenges then create strategies and plans to help the child and family thrive.

Thanks to Vanessa for providing this essential service – and for contributing to our economy and her Severna Park community – for ten years and counting!

This heart-centered, online class is designed to meet you exactly where you are. Led by Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Maria Winters of The Coaching Therapist, this space is built on empathy, grace, and practical wisdom.

What a fantastic Business Appreciation Week (BAW) in Anne Arundel County it was!

AAEDC and County Executive Steuart Pittman celebrated the diversity and economic contributions of businesses throughout Anne Arundel County last week, with teams of AAEDC staff and nearly 50 ambassadors visiting nearly 60 businesses from September 28 – October 2.

“We work directly with local businesses all year long, but Business Appreciation Week is special because of the scale. It’s one concentrated week where we’re out meeting with dozens of businesses to hear their stories, celebrate their work, and receive feedback that helps us shape programs to support business growth across the county.” - AAEDC President & CEO Amy Gowan

Scroll through for a look back at all 58 businesses we thanked, and visit our newsroom to read our press release recapping the week!
