Exquisite Corpse
Written, only once,
together by strangers

▼
Quilted Rummage was at
Grand Avenue Festival 2025
with our puddle of poetry and
books disguised as games 🩶
▼
Some of our friends, old and new,
helped build a new collaborative
story by adding a line or two at
a time to our scroll while only
being able to read the line
or two ahead of them!
▼
In the same blind-leap spirit,
I then read the scroll
out loud AND recorded it…
warts and all, with only
minimal polishing of
rough edges and
a little music,
here it is!

Another active day for @altarofawen !!! The gals from #casadechaos added doublesided, translucent mirror film to 5 out of 17 plexi panels. They have to dry before we move them and this is about all @rooseveltartworks can hold in the horizontal position. Just a few more to go…. 🪩💜💎

Big Talbot like you’ve never seen it! I painted this newest artwork from photos I took from Big Talbot State Park, commonly referred to at #boneyardbeach. It is one of my favorite places to travel to. I almost always take family or friends that have never visited here. @julieschwenka @paschulea were some that came to Florida recently. The title “Entanglement” perfectly describes the painting. It depicts the fallen trees that are forever together, living out their time as the waves ebb and flow over them daily. The sun, salt and wind of their environment changing them however, they stay cemented in this place until destiny changes their circumstance. We are so much like that, change is inevitable, neither good nor bad just different. We are here to evolve with each new beginning, to learn from each change. Hopefully we turn into something more beautiful and complex with every diversity. Change or else it kills us! Evolve or get left behind. #beachart #artformyhome #sunrise #sunriseflorida #travelflorida #driftwoodart @friendsoftalbot @friendsoftheeverglades #naturehippys_

🙏
A heartfelt
THANK YOU
to all our friends,
both old and new,
who helped make
our weekend in the
Japanese Friendship Garden
one of our favorite ones yet!
We shared countless
moments of hearing
and being heard
AND
hundreds of poems
walked away to
new homes!

We couldn’t
ask for more!

Super stoked to share the first photos of Roosevelt ArtWorks during #downtownphoenix ‘s #firstfriday #artwalk !!! This past Friday we held an #openhouse for our neighbors, friends and artists. Featuring the amazing work of Andi Russell, Lucretia Torca, Kristin Wesley, Nic Weitzman and Pam Schuler (with Sam Patrick Gund and Maddison Mew) we showcased artwork that inspired motivation and purpose for its creator through the very process of being made! We had an opportunity to say “howdy” to our new neighbors, meet with old friends, support local artists *and* the creative process!! Thank you to everyone who visited!!!
