Yesterday was the opening of RESONANCE
I was invited to have a dialogue with the 12 artists of @pasfoundation.be
It was a joyful homework, did it with passion and consideration…
I’m super proud of the result

Gisteren openden we de deuren van RESONANCE, midden in het industriële erfgoed van Walle.

De expo brengt het werk van de in Kortrijk gevestigde kunstenaar @charbel.abouzeidan samen met werken uit de collectie van PASfoundation. Verschillende generaties ontmoeten elkaar in abstractie, ritme, geometrie en materiaal.

Met deze expo openen we ook een stukje Walle voor het publiek. Op de voormalige textielsite die we omvormen tot bedrijvencampus, kan je de kunst én het erfgoed van dichtbij ontdekken.

A wonderful evening in Kortrijk and a meaningful collaboration between Futurn, PAS Foundation and Verduyn Gallery.

Last night, we opened RESONANCE: a dialogue between the work of Charbel Abou Zeidan and artists from the PAS Foundation collection: Ado Hamelryck, Albert Rubens, Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven, Camiel Van Breedam, Hugo Duchateau, Jacques Charlier, Jan Yoors, Paul Gees, Piet Stockmans, Urbain Mulkers, Vincent Van den Meersch and Willy De Sauter.

The exhibition takes place at Walle, in the former B.I.C. carpet factory. In this setting, Kortrijk’s textile heritage meets Charbel’s explorations of material, texture and form, in conversation with the works in the PAS Foundation collection.

RESONANCE is open across three weekends: • 17 - 18 Oct · 24 - 25 Oct · 31 Oct - 1 Nov
• Each time from 2 PM to 6 PM

• Free admission. including the weekend of WONDER Festival weekend.

Connecting art, people, ideas and places.

It’s the thread running through everything I do — from creative production and DEUSS Gallery ELSEWHERE to my role as coordinator at PAS Foundation.

A role I truly enjoy, bringing together my love of art, my connection with artists and entrepreneurs, and the opportunity to help artists shape a lasting future for their work.

RESONANCE is a beautiful example of these connections coming together. At a former textile site in Kortrijk, alongside Futurn and Verduyn Gallery, we bring the work of Charbel Abou Zeidan into dialogue with the PAS Foundation collection.

Alongside everything happening at DEUSS gallery ELSEWHERE , I want to shine a spotlight on @pasfoundation.be

Belgian artists spend a lifetime building an oeuvre. But what happens next? PASfoundation has been working on the answer for 14 years — 316 artworks protected, 11 artists supported, in collaboration with the King Baudouin Foundation.

With works by Anne-Mie Van Kerckhoven, Jacques Charlier, Willy De Sauter, Hugo Duchateau, Paul Gees, Ado Hamelryck, Urbain Mulkers, Piet Stockmans, Vincent Van den Meersch, Jan Yoors and Camiel Van Breedam.
