We spent literal years trying to realise this film. And could not be happier to premiere in South Africa at Soweto International Film Festival (@sowetofilmmarket).

Please watch it. Please talk about it. Les Makotoko (@creator_brave) wrote a poem asking what it means to defend the experience of being young in South Africa. We have some of the most extraordinary talent I’ve worked with on screen in these young actors.

Thank you always to the many talented collaborators who worked on this with us.

Tickets live for this Sunday at Eyethu Heritage Hall (@eyethuheritagehall) 🎫⚡️

my third album is out in less than 24 hours. this record was borne from a deep pain and trauma that i was going through in march, and i transmuted into a record about love, hope and JOY. the magnificent @ryanmarshallstudio came on board and we worked on the bulk of it together. then the gem that is @rare_weather came on board, too, and also shared his studio space where we recorded strings, horns, all the additional vocals. a plethora of musicians gave their valuable time and energy to this music both near and far. @pvinerecords believed in this music as soon as i sent the demos via DM. @peermusic have ALWAYS believed in me, and i'm forever grateful. i am still going through the motions and feeling very afraid to be visible, but i'd be doing a complete disservice to all of the people who poured their talents and love to this album. it is bigger than me. i hope this music can impact your lives positively. please share with the folks you love. SOULWAVE 2153, out august 7. love and light to you all x

my sista @subsaharanshawty and i have known each other since we were kids and it's been so inspiring seeing her build the empire that is @glottobrand. from botswana to brazil, to south africa — her and her team are going to take over the world. we've spoken over the years about working together but only now have things aligned, more specifically for my upcoming album. i'm very excited to collaborate more with the glotto team! this look i'm wearing is the vorduroy set — a SUPER comfortable fabric carrying the soft richness of velvet with the ribbed structure of corduroy. visit the Glotto store in rosebank and update your wardrobe with some mighty fire lookssssss ! 💥

I had the wonderful privilege of writing string arrangements for my talented friend @moongak_ ‘s new project, and got to work with incredible string quartet of @m.a.h.u.b.o 🎻❤️

With the nicest team, the most relaxed vibes engineer and producer @rare_weather 😌 and super talented @ryanmarshallstudio 🎸 who led the production on the project with Moonga! And a special arrangement from @pasjamusic to top it all off.

Looking forward to the album release soon! 💿📼❤️

Big thanks to @static_dreams for the beautiful footage and stills 😍📹
