I wrote about this a while back on the blog — and no, forest bathing doesn’t mean taking a literal bath in the woods 😂

It’s the practice of immersing yourself in a forest canopy, breathing in phytoncides (nature’s own essential oils released by the trees), letting the rushing creek water and birdsong do what no scrolling ever could; research backs it too — lower blood pressure, a stronger immune response, a calmer nervous system, just from being present in that atmosphere; now add barre, pilates, afrobeats with treats and poetry tea time by the creek into that same forest air, and you get something rare in an increasingly isolating, disconnected world — real wellness, real connection, real people, present together.

That’s the deeper work of Mind-Renewal — retraining your mental trajectories and raising your Emotional Intelligence because your body and your relationships were supposed to be built up together.

Spots are limited for Saturday, so show up with full expectation and go wild with wonder with me — link in bio to grab yours before we’re full.

Get your hopes up. 🤍

Try this barre sequence for your core, arms, resilience and overall need for adventure.
For the love of barre, pilates, Ankara prints, Afrobeats and never once passing up a side quest for the wildest ways to do barre — this time it was a fallen tree trunk at the base of a mini waterfall.

This is easily my version of Barre in the Wild.

What’s yours? 👀 One week left to come find out in person — link in bio to grab your spot. 🌳

Go higher. Get your hopes up.

For the love of barre, pilates, ankara prints and brunch with besties — we will turn aside when we see a beckoning structure in the wild just to try the Superman pose.

Besties getting the right angle and yelling “go higher” the whole time helped, obviously.

Go higher. Get your hopes up.

Misappropriated control — that’s the issue. ‘Cause it’s like we’re starting to shame control like control is the culprit. But true resilience will teach us that it’s really about releasing the trap of misappropriated control — recognizing the tension for what it is, and harnessing self control to speak life, and rise back up anyway. So if you’re struggling as a labeled control freak, that’s good news for you. Let’s redirect.

It came as an exhilarating surprise (and I kid you not, we had a blast) but taking my studio practice to the wild changed how I teach resilience and wonder, not just movement.

This is Barre in the Wild.

Get your hopes up. 🤍

The seasons that shake you are usually the ones building something.
I saw that strong parallel in my barre studio/practice as I learned it in life. Every “two inches lower” was building something I couldn’t see just yet.

Swipe through 👉 and tell me your worst “and hold” memory in the comments.😅

Joy was always one of the ways you were meant to heal.

That line landed deeply at Barre in the Wild pop up, and I understand why.

Perhaps because we often think of joy as a payoff after a desired outcome. Or that striving is the only proof that we’re trying.

See, joy is not naive.
It has walked through hardship and ashes too.
Joy accesses strength.
And wonder is still a form of wisdom.

What you wear, and how you move, can feel grounded, free, and alive.

This short film of barre over wild water is a reminder of these cues we care about from the No Wahala collection: vibrance and versatility, support without heaviness, structure without restriction, and movement that feels like a return to yourself.

✨Fear limits our imagination, and stifles creativity - shrinking what we believe is possible. Hope unleashes the audacity to dream again. Hope expands our horizons, offers solutions and renews joy!

How to Reclaim Hope Through Imagination:

First, it’s okay to recognize what went awry and what causes your tummy to skip in fear. Then let yourself know you are choosing to actively renew your mind in this area.

-Reflect on a past victory –
Remember when something worked out despite the odds.

-Rehearse promises over problems –
Hold on to truths that inspire courage. Think on it over and over and vocalize them with gratitude and thanksgiving.

-See it –
unblock the limited beliefs by letting your mind paint a picture of a way forward.

Let yourself be full of a sense of wonder over even the smallest things.

Here’s to you awakening hope and crushing it in 2025 ✨

What will you dare to hope for today? Tag someone who needs this reminder today. Let’s be wild with wonder together.

We found Fall! 🍁

Have you ever talked about something (like a certain car) and suddenly started seeing it everywhere? It reminds me of a powerful paraphrased quote I’ve held close from @christinecaine: “What you look for, you’ll find. And where you look is where you’ll end up.”

After our mountain hunt for Fall trees, I started noticing and enjoying the changing leaves everywhere—even in my own neighborhood! Turns out, it’s not just where you look, but the attention and awareness you bring to it.

✨Looking—or rather, seeing—is a powerful step toward moving from scarcity to abundance.✨

You are not the sum of those worries and fears (notice I said “those”. Not “your”. Because it even shows up in our speech and we inadvertently claim it). Anxiety doesn’t define you— although that noise seems to clutter your soul.

Here’s to you clearing the chaos, and reclaiming hope. And perhaps the first step in this adventure may look like choosing forgiveness, and fighting with thankfulness as a weapon, spoken out loud. 🌿✨

Let’s awaken hope together
