THOUGHTS ABOUT WEDDING GIFTS

I’ve seen a lot of gift tables with one Pinterest-Wrapping-Inspo after another. Money wrapped in balloon miniatures, butterflies flying around with cash or coins bathing in a glass full of sand and seashells 🙃 I think it’s thoughtful that you don’t want to give just cash, but is it really necessary?

Often couples receive a ton of wedding gifts leading them to be overwhelmed, especially if they are wrapped in a bunch of materials and complicated wrapping 🤯 They feel guilty to throw it away the next day, but don’t know what to do with all this stuff.

So first tip: reduce the plastic! There’s no need to overuse gift wrapping that ends up in the bin 🗑️Also it saves you a lot of time crafting the packaging.

Cash really is king - don’t think that this is an unemotional present. It really is the most desired present to be honest. How much you should give is up to you but nevertheless you’re contributing to a nice honeymoon or any future plans of the couple and they will never forget that!

You could also think of something that contributes to the wedding day itself. Last week, I was invited to a very special wedding and I knew that my friends would have loved to have an audio guest book, so I organized this pink one from @gaestetelefon ☎️ Such a funny memory hearing all the guests voice messages even years later. I also brought a little DIY-Tattoo station with trashy butterflies or angel wings - everybody loved it and woke up feeling like a rockstar.

Another idea is a wedding anniversary or family shooting or a wedding photo book (No, I am not making commercial for myself 🤓)

It’s always nice if it’s something they can look forward to or will always remember. What was the most special wedding gift you received or gifted? Collecting your ideas here for some inspooo ❤️‍🔥

Thanks for the video @patrickhess.lovestories
