Three different vibes, one colour line 🤎✨

A little look at how I use Redken Shades ALK to create completely different finishes, depending on the tone, depth and overall feel we’re after.

The formula is only one part of the result. Placement, underlying pigment, porosity and the canvas we’re working with all play a huge role in how the final colour develops.

Swipe through to see the formulas and the finished results 👀

Which one are you choosing? 🤎

01 | Creamy Beach Blonde
Bright, soft and creamy with enough warmth to keep the blonde looking expensive and dimensional rather than flat.

02 | Suede Chocolate
A rich, glossy chocolate brunette with that soft suede finish. Deep enough to feel luxe, but still with dimension and movement through the hair.

03 | Biscuit Bronde
That perfect in-between. A soft beige/bronde with a touch of warmth, creating a natural, creamy finish without feeling too blonde or too brown.

SHADES ALK, THE PROCESS EDIT. ✨

Shades ALK is a next-generation alkaline demi-permanent colour designed to deliver rich, dimensional results with incredible shine. It provides beautiful grey blending, tonal refinement and colour refreshes while maintaining the hair’s condition. Perfect for creating customised, long-lasting colour with a natural, seamless finish.

Acidic gloss and shampoo and conditioner is optional, it’s just my personal fave with the ALK range for maximum shine results 🫣

Using foils to give a shimmer but not a pop.

Miss your natural but not the blandness of it? That’s exactly where she was.

She’d gone in somewhere wanting a shimmer, ended up with a pop. Felt like too much, so she followed it through and went fully blonde. But that was never really her.

So we sat down, had a proper chat about what she actually liked versus what she didn’t, and the answer was simple. Keep her brunette. Just make it shimmer.

Foils for gloss, foils for dimension, a shimmer, not a pop. Movement through the colour without it ever looking like a colour. Just rich, glossy, healthy hair that feels like her.

That’s the difference between giving someone what they ask for and giving them what they actually want 🤎

COLOR CORRECTION comes in many forms.
Nothing humbles you more than coloring a wig.
The ultimate in color correction .
Working to achieve a natural look on hair that has been processed in ways you can’t even imagine.
Will it hold the color? Will it go darker?
Some of my biggest learnings have come from coloring wigs.
