Patch, known as Julian “Jules” Dangov, is one of Adelaide’s longest-serving drum and bass DJs. A four-time South Australian Dance Music Award winner, he is recognised for fast, clean mixing, deep record knowledge and sets covering the full DnB spectrum. Patch joined Rollerz in 2002 and became its longest-serving host, helping sustain Australia’s longest-running drum and bass radio show. patchagram

where do i even start? the past few months of my life have been nothing short of an absolute whirlwind.

for years i’ve had my intuition telling me to move overseas for my music career, and after countless mental backflips i finally decided to push past the fear of the unknown and make a change for myself. i spent the last nye at home, renewing my passport, and have been chipping away in the background ever since to make this a reality for me.

returning as a your shot trainer for the third year in a row with three classes, moving countries and deciding to throw an event in the middle of it all unlocked a new level of organised chaos i didn’t know existed 🙃

i’d be lying if i said i didn’t feel disjointed, overwhelmed and grieving a past version of myself, while at the same time feeling excited, inspired and optimistic for what lies ahead. the duality of experiencing so many emotions at once is a strange place to exist in. i know it’s going to take some time to rebuild my routines, and a sense of familiarity and comfort in a new city / country. but i also know i’m on the right path and trust that i’m being guided by my internal compass.

i have so much love for adelaide and it’ll always be home. i’ll miss the city and more than anything the people in it. to everyone i’ve met, worked with and formed friendships with over the years, thank you. to every promoter, venue and client who’s booked me and backed what i do, i can’t thank you enough. your support has meant more than you know.

to my nearest & dearest, i couldn’t of done this without your unconditional love and support. i feel so grateful and lucky to have such an amazing group of people in my corner, helping push me through to this next chapter in my life. my heart is full, cup overflowing, and i can’t wait to see what’s next. ❤️

i’m a big believer in doing the thing that scares you the most, because on the other side of it is the growth and transformation your soul has been searching for.
