POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

✨ Sunday Oct 18th - 2:30pm @grayareaorg
.
Topic: Care. This sweet colourful piece is layered. Literally and metaphorically. Added layer of this gathering is we are diving into the debriefing tools @ghostmeat and I have been developing that are meant for groups to activate VR shorts like this one by @melodiemousset. This might be 12 minutes in headset, but the gather and discussion easily nourishes a Sunday afternoon. With so much care baked in, we wonder how that topic can help us navigate and bring more care to our own ecosystems. Spheres of influence are connected and this medium allows us to really approach complex topics with depth.

Spatial joy!!

It’s been so long I have been wanting to try this in VR!
Some sort of Intelligent geometry makes it a ritual to play shapes in space!

Endless shapes with this Viz synth from @patchworld_vr combined with live ultra human vocals… can wait to stream this on big screens!
My meta quest may be a dinosaur 🦕 but some apps are truly from the future 🪄🤖

A little experiment I made in @patchworld_vr exploring movement, particles, sound, and the body as an interface.

What happens when particles and music start coming out of your hands?

Inside a lush garden hidden within a busy corporate building, a small virtual bird flutters. Flaming red and teetering on the edge of burnout, it paces in circles, collects cigarette butts, and repeatedly bangs its head against concrete walls. Fragile, sensitive, and completely exposed, it exists without skin—reflecting the emotional exhaustion of the world around it.

SIMA 2026 Immersive Impact Award Winner Empathy Creatures by Mélodie Mousset is an emotionally intelligent immersive installation that blends speculative fiction with poetic wildlife simulation. Across two interconnected experiences, participants encounter an AI-powered being that senses their presence, engages them in conversation, and gently invites them into mindful rituals of care.

Like a collective Tamagotchi, the work explores emotional co-regulation, collective healing, and our shared responsibility in an increasingly fragile, interconnected world.

Two weeks have passed and we are looking back on our VR weekend at @sickhouse.nl !

We went into certain mental spaces. We deflated our inner bullies. We explored how technology can feel personal. We build our bodies in VR. We were united by spicy food.

You can see snippets of our experience playing The Language of Plants LARP in VR chat, facilitated by Josephine Rydberg, moments of partying in @patchworld_vr 👩‍🎤

VR weekend is part of the Long-distance LARPing project, developed by Nerdlab and Sickhouse. Full program on the Nerdlab website and registeration for our next events via links in bio.

Lovely photos and doodles by @b.jarque ❤️
