a golden two piece set✨ a handmade custom Kali for @patel.saheli

Saheli came asking for a golden mini dress for her 21st, especially one that looked good on brown skin tones!! while i got started sourcing that fabric, we decided on a two piece set that can we worn on other occasions for more wears ♻️😎

she wanted it to be a backless dress with a deeper neck, so i got started on manipulating a blouse pattern to draft an asymmetrical backless top. i designed an additional element to the top to flow into the mini skirt and create a unique, cohesive look. for this, i attached a flouncy golden tissue fabric to the bottom and evened out the dress. along with the top, i made a mini skirt with the same beaded fabric to make it a matching set that flows together, but can be styled separate and be their own moment!! ✨

after getting to her, she loved the flowy skirt but wanted to keep a classy look for her 21st, so we decided to remove the flounce! now it looks stunning and GORGEOUS on her!! it looks perfect and fits perfect and Saheli couldn’t have been a more perfect model and client 💕✨👑

i want that skirt and i will be making 10 more for myself

If you had told me back in boarding school that I would one day be studying medicine, I would have laughed in disbelief. Although it was always a dream of mine, it would have remained just a dream if not for the sacrifices of my family and the constant support of my friends, teachers, and mentors. Thank you for believing in me and granting me the privilege of pursuing my passion for medicine.
