AUGUST // it’s important to me to not forget how I started this creative journey. My first images were on an iPhone 7 Plus and an iPod touch. When I picked up cameras, photographing, and videoing with my iPhone became such a turn off for me. this month I decided to get back to my roots a bit and focus more on photographing with my phone. I ended up forgetting to use it a lot, but I really like what came out of it.

JUNE // From one chapter to the next. For three years I have worked at my church @mountainwestchurch doing all of the things I love, photo, video, film, and social media. The time has come for me to move to whatever God has for me next! It’s a big faith step, and I trust that He will provide even if I don’t have all of the answers now. I’ve made so many great memories there as a staff member, have had a front row seat to the favor that God has had on Mountain West, and it’s truly been amazing to witness. APRIL // do you feel younger or older than you are? I wish I could address all of the nuances of aging, but I can only fit so much in 2 minutes. Not everyone will agree with my perspective, but that’s how it should be! What I’m wanting everyone to see is that getting older is bad thing, it’s a natural thing. It’s as simple as being on Earth for a long time or a short time. We don’t have to fall into the negative stereotypes that are associated with aging. It’s okay to feel younger and still be able to handle real responsibility. I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments! Thank you Jesus for the opportunity to enjoy life the way I do! JANUARY // It’s been a great start to the year. I’ve rested, spent good time with family and friends, spoke at a conference, gained more biblical knowledge, ate good, pushed myself to be more social, and did more work for myself than anyone else. Doing this vlog for the first time showed me just how much I don’t document my life, so I’m glad I’m doing this this year. It’s pushed me to be consistent in shooting (almost) everyday, and find new ways to make simple things look cool. I enjoy the mix of candid & purposefully cinematic shots, and every months vlog will probably be so different from the previous one, but I’m excited to look at December’s and see how much more I’ve learned. TODAY IS A SPECIAL DAY!!🥺🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 I could not be more ecstatic to celebrate Patrick. He is truly a gift to this world, and I often find myself weeping out of joy that I get to be his wife. He is the most amazing gift the Lord has ever given me, and I absolutely love the little life the Lord has given us the opportunity to create.
