Looks real… but it’s 100% 3D 🍯✨

A traditional Jalebi recreated in 3D — from the glossy syrup to the warm lighting and cozy tabletop setup.

@patrick_4d turns a snack into something that shouldn't look this good, all sculpted in ZBrush. Playful subject, serious craft, the kind of piece that proves ZBrush isn't just for characters and creatures.

Croissant 🥐 for all ,0 Calories 100% Clay 😜
Handmade 🤌🏼, no AI.
I wanted to come back with something that pushed my eye for texture to the absolute limit , so I decided if I could replicate the organic chaos of pastry lamination using digital clay in zbrush.
GOOD TO BE BACK 😎

Everything in this scene was textured with procedural materials in Blender.
I did sculpt the steak and fries by hand

The Knorrverse | Part 3: Real-Time Gameplay Showcase 🎮🔥

To wrap up the development breakdown of this mobile VR project, here is a look at the a portiona of the real-time gameplay of the shipped build on Meta Quest Headset

Seeing the optimized assets, modular rigs, and channel-packed materials come together at a locked, stable frame rate on the Meta Quest platform is the ultimate payoff. This project was a fantastic challenge in balancing aggressive performance budgets with a vibrant, high-fidelity visual aesthetic.

Core Architecture Features:

Optimized Environments & FX: Real-time rendering pipelines fine-tuned to keep draw calls low during intense combat sequences.

Interactive Mechanics: Fully functional hand-tracking/input systems engineered for responsive, fast-paced challenge mechanics.

Seamless Asset Integration: Watch the hero characters and optimized enemy variants previously broken down interact dynamically in the live build.

A massive thank you to everyone who followed along with this technical breakdown series!

The complete, multi-part production case study—featuring full high-resolution turnarounds, clay renders, master material networks, and animation reels—is live on my ArtStation portfolio.

The Knorrverse | Part 2(b): Enemy Rigging & Motion Showcase 🤖🏃‍♂️

Following up on the asset and texture optimization breakdown, here is a look at the real-time motion and animation reels for the three robot variants in action.

When developing for high-energy public VR activations on mobile hardware, animation overhead can easily bottle-neck performance. To counteract this, the entire movement pipeline was built around maximum efficiency:

Technical Motion Highlights:

Unified Skeletal Rigging: All three distinct enemy variants utilize the exact same underlying skeletal structure and joint layout, allowing them to share a single, global animation bank.

Runtime Memory Savings: By streaming shared animation data across multiple modular meshes rather than unique individual rigs, in-engine memory allocation was cut by over 60%.

Mesh Deformation: The real-time clips highlight how the low-poly hard-surface topology maintains its structural integrity and mechanical weight during rapid locomotion and hit-reactions.

The full asset turnarounds, clay renders, and master material setups are live on my ArtStation portfolio.
