Well ….. That’s All Folks!!!!

P8 in the @uci_cycling Gravel World Championships and my final race as a professional cyclist at @nannupgravel2026.

Raced with my heart, took my chances and never gave up.

It really was a special day. Racing on 🇦🇺 soil in the green and gold one last time. Leading the race at times and getting the maximum out of myself. I felt so much support and love on the ground and from all around the world.

I couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish my career.

Thank you all so much. 🫶🏼

Special shout out to my friends @sarahstawell + @hugo_murphy for making the trip to come and cheer me on. Meant a lot!! 🤗

Big thank you to @sramroad and the @canyon_atr team for all their support on the ground and of course my @wmncycling team from afar.

And thank you to the entire @nannupgravel2026 team for putting on a great championship event!!

I’ve put off making this post because I knew it would make me tear up (spoiler alert, it did) 🥹

Having an elite world championship at home in Western Australia is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it’s what had been in the back of my mind during every single training session and hard moment over the past few years. To miss out on racing and be here inundated by it all has been a final real good twist of the knife 🤪😌

As hard as I’ve looked for some positives in all this, missing out on this race on a course I love and know inside out, has been the hardest pill to swallow and to be completely honest, it’s been really really hard. I know it’s just a bike race at the end of the day, but this event really would have meant so much more to me 🫂

Seeing everyone come to Perth and Nannup, and love this place just as much as I do, really drives home how special this corner of the world and our cycling community are 🥰

I’ll be down in Nannup this weekend doing feed zones for my team mates and cheering on my dear friends, but please no more questions about what tyres to run, you’ll make me cry on the internet xx

I don’t want this to be a womp post because I have lots to smile about, but if you’re also missing out on things you love, you’re not alone and it just shows how much you care 🫶🏽

Good luck all, appreciate every single bit of this beautiful place I’m so lucky to call home 🌅🇦🇺

Guess I’ll just have to whip the French passport out for Worlds in 2027? 🌈

AUSTRALIAN GRAVEL! 🇦🇺

Guava riders @riksta1987 and @rdeath07 rocked up to @bikeittoballidugravel last weekend and dropped some watt bombs 💣

Despite a crash early on, Ricky bridged back to the front group to finish 9th. Meanwhile Ryan quietly took the race KOM and rolled in a well-earned 6th.

We couldn’t be prouder of our boys during Ballidu Gravel — wild conditions Team Guava persevered.
Ricky lost his front wheel in the soft sand just 20km in, then battled through the next 130km with bent bars. He closed a two-minute gap to the leaders, burned plenty of matches doing it, and still finished an incredibly gutsy 9th.

Ryan rode an absolute belter, pushing through wind and hail to finish 6th and take the KOM. ⛰️

Two Guavas in the top 10. 🔥
