𝘌𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘴, my second album is coming in 2027. You can help me make it.

I’ll be performing it in full at @nationalconcerthall tomorrow at 8pm. @maykay316 will be there taking pre-orders for the record. The last of the tickets are on sale now, come on down.

Physical products are becoming more and more important in an age when we don’t really own anything, and one where it’s harder and harder for musicians to make a living. Every pre order will go directly towards pressing the music to vinyl. As a fully independent, self funded artist this makes a huge difference.

I recorded the album in two sessions at @hellfirestudiosdublin with @ben.rawlins. It is all solo piano and very true to what we had in the room in the best way.

The good folk at @anthemvinyl will be making the records, great to have a company in Ireland making such good quality pressings.

Pre orders for 𝘌𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘦𝘴 are now live from my website, link in the bio.

Big love x

"My process for writing music is often slowly slowly then all at once. Like a landslide or falling in love. Things can move glacially and I can sit for hours or days or weeks without inspiration or movement. Then as if by magic things start to happen and the music makes itself.

Some pieces come out fully formed and almost without a thought. Those are beautiful moments, where the room is electric and everything conspires just so.
And sometimes there is hard work and a wrestling match to get an idea out, and I often lose that fight and the piece ends up staying as a voice memo on my phone.

Every now and then I like to spend an evening going through old voice memos and ideas to see what I can find, and to see if there is anything that can be saved, or changed, or fought again."

Anyone else struggle to throw out really good boxes? Like sometimes the box is nicer than the gift right? 😂

Made It Out Of January is out now! As you can see I’m very excited to finally have some music out in the world. This was written last January when I went to the French countryside for the month (what a prick!) to write music and to escape the turgid vibes that are January. Would like to give a few shout outs to some people who helped along the way.

1. @keankavanagh and @briienn for lending a kind ear and helping me with some sound related bits and putting my mind at ease. What a crew!
2. @sherbetpenny for help with the admin side of things, that man can solve anything in a sentence.
3. @recyclingcontent for letting me use some beautiful photos he took when I supported @daniellukepiano last year (to who I’m also eternally grateful for that opportunity).
4. @matthewxaviercorrigan for reminding me that flat wounds exist!
5. And the biggest thanks of all to @rebeccabyrne____ who painted the most incredibly perfect artwork and supported me through all my procrastination and self-doubt ❤️❤️❤️

Spotify link in my bio, I hope some of you enjoy and go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir xxx

Friends I hadn’t seen in 4, 5, 6 years. And friends I hadn’t met IRL yet! I’m genuinely so happy I got to spend time with you. Even though it was way too brief. You made me feel home again and made it so much harder to leave. Please come visit me 🥲🥲🥲

Pictures in: Vienna, Alphen aan den Rijn, Vancouver, Canmore, Ottawa, Montreal, and Riquewihr.
