Weekend Report 12.26.25 🍕🤴🏻🎄

Someone else pretty important was born this week and he goes by the name Papa Pizza.

Before we walk you through our specials, take a trip down memory lane for some of our favorite moments with the best, sassiest boss anyone could ask for. Wishing our Pizza Prince @patrickdel_verona a very happy birthday 🍀🥳🎂💅🏽!!!

Weekend Report 9.26.25

It’s officially Fall, y’all 😱 But there’s nothing to fear, because the freakin’ weekend is HERE. Serving up some molto delizioso speciales to get yourselves in the mood for one of Earth’s most beautiful seasons.

1. Panina crew with Big Poppa 🍄
2. La Lista Sagrada ✨
3. Del Capo Spritz: an autumnal trip to the Calabrian coast, full of warm and vibrant spices 🍂
4. Meatballs n’ Foccac’
5. Honeynut squash Gnudi (you’ll scream with delight) served with a lemony brown butter sauce, hazelnuts, miso, and sage 🌿
6. Slow cooked pork shoulder pizza w/ mozz, roasted potatoes, and chimichurri 😋😋😋
7. Roasted corn, Gruyère, long hots, kimchi aioli, smoked chili flakes, and scallions (an unexpected but DELICIOUS twist) 🌽🤤
8. Howling Wolf Cocktail: homemade canteloupe, lemon, and yuzu juice, gin, honey, and burrata foam 🌝 ( a concoction to guide you through these high charged, cosmic times).

When we first came to 🇺🇸 one of our first jobs was bussing tables at the Williamsburg Cafe on North 7th and Wythe. It was 2005 and Williamsburg was a completely different neighborhood than it is today (but that’s another story 😉).

After work we spent all of our tips at Metropolitan, Sugarland, Zebulon and - when we felt fancy - at @sweetwaterny . That’s where we met Patrick! Sweetwater was of the only restaurants nearby and it was (still is) so good!

When we started looking for a Pierogi Boys location in Ridgewood, we looked at so many spaces, including the charming storefront on Forest and Catalpa. It didn’t work for us but imagine our surprise when we learned that our old friend Patrick was taking it over for a pizzeria!

Old friends became new neighbors and to celebrate our 20 year long friendship and being new neighbors, Panina is serving a Pierogi Boys pie this weekend - Polish kielbasa, creamy mushroom sauce, herby breadcrumbs, pickled shallots and lots of herbs!

The collaboration you did not see coming, which is such a dream come true for us 🥰🍕🥟

Does it feel like peak summer yet? Because it does over here!

1. Start off with a refreshing watermelon salad, served with stracciatella, salsa macha, and mint 🌱
2. Blow your minds with an unexpected collab @pierogiboys 🥟 x @pizzeriapanina 🍕, honoring a 20yr friendship with our new neighbors.
3. In anticipation of @pierogiboys opening down the block (very soon!) we’ve joined forces on a very special pizza featuring kiełbasa, creamy mushroom sauce, breadcrumbs, and looots of herbs 🌿🧄🍄‍🟫 tastes like a cookout at your favorite Polish neighbor’s.
4. Nothing says summer like 🍅🍅🍅: sink your teeth into some juicy meatballs over fettuccine, tomato sauce, and parm.
5. Our other summery pizza, Street Corn King 🌽: Smoked mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes, roasted corn, gochujang, cotija cheese, and smoked chili flakes.
6 + 8. Vegan dessert alerts ‼️ pineapple and coconut sorbet | lemon matcha sorbet…both unreal!
7. Despues de la Playa Cocktail 🏖️: Coconut infused @tentoonerum , absinthe, strawberry, and pineapple citrus juice.
