Whelans last night with Carsie Blanton was just flawless. What an incredible artist and performer.

Her band Joe and Pat just make me all warm and gooey inside. I am just so proud and happy to be working with this impressive, hard working, mad craic lady as she takes the world by storm 🇮🇪💫🎶

Rhob Cunningham’s support, still one of the best songwriters we have! ❤️

I absolutely love my band! And that is all!

Last night Houseofreedom All-Stars had the pleasure of backing and supporting a man who is both a music icon and a case study in ambition, respect and entrepreneurship. Truth is, music is my profession but it’s also my hobby. I’m still a teenage fan, a total music/nerd/geek at heart. Whenever I get to play or work with someone who’s music influenced me when I was coming up, someone who actually “did the thing” and “made that hit” that went worldwide, ( and I’ve been fortunate to meet many such people) , I’m just humbled. I’m also curious about all that went into that journey, that process that success, and I’m thankful that our paths have crossed.

We get to do this a few times a year with Houseofreedom All-Stars. I’m talking about when we play with the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, the bandleader of the Max Weinberg 7, for 16 years on the Conan O’Brien show, the heartbeat on the drums of Metaloaf’s “Bat Out of Hell” and “Paradise by the Dashboard Lights”, the massive 80’s snare sound of Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart” , and Air Supply’s “Making Love Out of Nothing At All”, and the 50-year veteran of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band. All that and you know what … he’s a prince of man , humble, down to earth, with some of the best stories to be heard in any green room in rock and roll. The one, the only Max Weinberg. I am grateful, to my band, and to Max. I am grateful, I am grateful, I am grateful.

When your old high school buddy says he’s going to be in town with his band and offers you a ticket to the show, you take him up. You have a great time at the show. Then have an even better time laughing and catching up over beers at a heavy metal bar until they close it down.

Don’t miss out on little opportunities

Great show by @carsieblanton and her Handsome Band™️ @patrickfirthmusic, @_joeplo_, and the lovely and talented @b_thefolksinger helping out on vocals.
