A brilliant morning seeing our Olympic hopefuls and the journey towards LA 2028 showcased on @bbcbreakfast .

Huge thanks to Mike Bushell and the team for joining us at @thewave , getting in the water and shining a spotlight on the incredible talent coming through GB Surfing.

With Lukas Skinner currently 2nd and Alys Barton 4th in the World Surf League rankings, it’s an exciting time for British surfing! 🇬🇧🌊

And with just over 20 months to LA 2028… this is just the beginning.

A fun week at Boardmasters. Fun to find a few moments to get my new lens out and capture some of the action. Some great surfing by all.

There is a mix here of the short & Longboard from throughout the week. The last few shots, the Rnli, short board awards. The team photo of all the judges, spotters, admin, Wsl / qs management, beach Marshall’s, runners etc that make this surf comp run. Mr B production team filming the content all week on land, in the sea and in the air, Harriet & Pauly the contest directors making the hard decision and working out the best options with the tricky surf report and lastly the Christian Surfer crew which I was apart of serving up the breakfast & lunches. 🤙🏼

The ‘core’ is responsible for a bunch of different actions.

Some exercises produce movement, others exist to resist force. This is primarily anti rotation work. The job is to stop rotational load from reaching the spine, keeping it stable while force passes through.

That stability is what protects the lower back, whether that’s transferring force under a barbell or resisting the rotational load absorbed through a turn on a wave.
