Nowa Yamada Pro Model (KD Shape Ver.) ☔️🌦️ I know that this mod has long been out of stock, so I’m sorry if you were tempted to buy one of these after seeing this post. I thought real long and hard on how I wanted to approach the first photo since I knew I wanted something with water and the sun in the back to reflect the phrase on the dama bag (“The sun is always shining above the rain.”), and I ended up taking a garden hose and spraying it on the Shower setting to mimic rain. It’s a little choppy, but think it turned out quite well! • I’m so glad these were brought back with the crushable bevel and the maple KD Shape; I missed out on the first drop and was pretty gutted for a good while haha. The design is so cute (s/o @patricksan_illust!), and you can never really go wrong with another blue kendama. Patrick-san’s illustrations are always great to see on a kendama and it’s great that he got to work with her on another mod for Sol! He previously helped with the illustrations on Nowa’s Champ Mod a few years back for context. I wish the blue on the ring and handle were the same shade of teal as the original releases, but the updated color matches the bevel ring better and really ties it all together. Congrats to Nowa on going Pro for Sol!
