Man, what a ride. I look back on these past two years with an immense amount of gratitude. There was a time when I thought I'd never run at the collegiate level. Though my goal didn't play out like I had hoped, I have so much love for all that I have experienced. I fell in love with this sport my senior year of high school. I remember training with any coach who would take me, searching across the U.S. for teams who would be interested in an athlete with less than a year under his belt. I am so thankful for Coach Schneider for giving me the opportunity to run as well as coach Kev and Will for mentoring me through my time as an unattached athlete. I never made the team, but everyday I showed up to a meet, or walked down the hall, I was always greeted by a smile, or words of encouragement. I will always be grateful for everyone who made me feel like a part of the family during meets. You guys helped me stay comfortable and pushed me to be my best at every meet. That is something I will remember forever. My senior year was something special, I had a stable season with minimal injuries, watched my brother absolutely murder anyone he lined up next to, and felt like I caught a glimpse of the real athlete I could become. Though I don't know what will happen next, if it is anything close to the experience I had at Eau Claire, it will be years I cherish forever. Thank you ❤️
