I was pretty disappointed with myself when I had to walk on Sunday, it was all going so well until I hit 23k when my leg decided it didn’t want to go anymore. I had what I thought was a great block until I was laying in an MRI scanner about two weeks ago. When I was given the all clear to run I probably should have taken it a little easier and focused on enjoying the day. I spent most of Sunday disheartened thinking that I should have done better or pushed through the pain a little more. But I realised that it was only ever me putting that pressure on myself, no one else gives a shit what time you time you ran. A huge thank you to those on the sideline who kept me going on the day 🫶🏼

In it for the long run. This morning, @newbalance and Tempo Journal launched the new 1080v15 with the Melbourne running community. Hosted at the New Balance pop-up in Federation Square during the Australian Open, over 100 runners turned up to test the latest from the Boston-based brand. We were lucky enough to speak with some of the most influential figures in the running community and New Balance ambassadors — Chip Mooney, Katie Kelso and Connor Sahely — about what the long run means to them, what they like most about the 1080, and how they plan to further impact their local running communities in 2026. 📸:@jwestwood_

2025 is officially in the rearview now.
