Last service of the year @nationschurch and as always, a great day in church. Now it’s time to put the tools down for a little while.

Thankful for what 2023 has been (and even for what it wasn’t) - because in all things God is faithful, even when things are hard and look a little bleak. Now to look forward to 2024 with hope and anticipation of what God is going to do.

renaissance • a revival of or renewed interest in something.

there’s so much I want to say about my first week in London at @renaissance.movement + the ‘creatives + innovators tour’ hosted by @alphaaustralia. yet all these weeks later, words still fall short.

went there to be inspired creatively. left being more in love with Jesus, His Church, + a deeper conviction to live a life consecrated unto Him.

may we never lose our wonder of or reverence for the Lord. may our greatest desire be to simply be with Him. X

ps: to the Aussie creative crew that I had the pleasure of experiencing this with — thank you 🙏 each of you impacted + stirred me to be a better Christian in different ways, simply because of your example. very excited that renaissance is coming to australia in 2024.

Heading home after an amazing trip to London with creatives and church leaders from around Australia. We came to Renaissance conference to be encouraged and empowered in creativity. We leave having all of that but marked by a week long encounter with God.

Simon Ponsonby said something that I can’t get out of my head…

“To get the power in the church you can’t go after the power, you must go after the Son. The Spirit is wooed when we love the Son above everything else.”

That was our experience on Friday night (see last slide) - it was not manufactured or designed, we couldn’t get low enough in surrender and love for Jesus. I still struggle to talk about it without being moved to tears - it was so powerful and deeply peaceful. Hours of singing felt like one minute, all eyes on Jesus.

Renaissance is coming to Australia in 2024 and I can’t wait to be part of it. In a time of displacement, discouragement and disillusionment in the Church, I sense that God will use Renaissance to spark innovation and imagination in our nation by connecting innovators, entrepreneurs and creatives with their Creator, with the Church and with others like them.

A huge thank you to @melindadwight & @algord.on for having vision for this and hearing the heart cry of our many in our nation 🇦🇺🕊️🔥 Come, Lord Jesus.

Half/Half

Equally excited and equally terrified. 2 years since I got my Hexar RF, 8-9 months in and out of repairs finally had a successful test roll of ultramax 400 pumped through. A few heartbreaking moments later and we are back! I think….
