Dark sky + long exposure with a stabilized camera and you’re good to go!

The journey to get to these dark skies is just as fun and challenge as capturing the images themselves! Doing everything at night, making sure you check the weather to know the cloud cover situation, knowing what phase the moon is in, and knowing when and where the Milky Way will rise. After you get all those boxes checked, you hit your focus and enjoy!

I personally like setting up interval timers for most of the night so I can get timelapses while also picking out my favorite images from 100’s of photos! Also, it leaves you free to enjoy stargazing yourself instead of just fiddling with your camera.

Comment below if you’d like to see a video explaining how to focus and how to set up your intervals for the Timelapse!

I love getting inventive with my gear and setups.

Whether it be a unique perspective, vertical and horizontal coverage at the same time, or even video and photos hybrid coverage, I’ll figure it out!

Available for summer event coverage, social media content creation for brands and businesses, portrait and lifestyle photo sessions, product photography and marketing assets for brands, athletes and businesses.

The spot and the shots I got @1austinbrooks edition!

This was a few fights ago for the champ up in Tacoma, Washington. One of my favorite fights I’ve ever seen live to date. Two opposing styles back-and-forth action and championship grit the whole way.

AB was taking head butts that cut him open, leading to the blood everywhere, but remained calm and boxed beautifully. His opponent was rough and tough Challenger that fought with this aggressive style. Austin was Taking head butts and low blows, but never complainedto the ref, just aggressively fighting on. True fighter spirit.

Even though Austin is a personal friend of mine, I have to remain calm in these moments and make sure that I capture the environment, the action, and the important moments that shape a fight.

After the chaos is over, and I pop in my SD card to look at the photos, shots like these make it all worth it.

These @smallrig.us ballhead clamps are so fun to play with. You can mount your camera to so may different things to get unique angles!

Here I mounted my camera to a serving tray to get this unique pov look.

What else do yall use them for?

iPhone vs Sony A7RV!

Truth be told you’ll only really be able to see a huge difference when being played on bigger, higher resolution screens. Your phone only has 1080p and every social media platform will compress your videos and photos so most of us downgrade our footage to 1080p before uploading anyway.

The real difference comes if you want to make a huge print of a photo, or view your footage on a big 4k tv. If not, your phone is more than capable of capturing moments to share with your loved ones I. Stunning detail.

Don’t overthink, just create!
