I thought fatherhood peaked at Alkmaar at home last month 😳 18 months ago, Harrison and I were at Wembley watching Sunderland win promotion to the Premier League. ❤️🤍 Today, we’re heading to Portugal to watch Sunderland play their first European game in 53 YEARS. 🇵🇹🌍 From Wembley to Europe. What a journey. What memories. And what a privilege to experience it all with my best little mate in the world. 🥹❤️ These are the moments I’ll remember forever. 🔴⚪️ #SAFC #Sunderland #europaleague #Football #fyp

🗓 Sunday 13th September 2026 ⚔️ vs Sunderland | Academy of Light ⸻ ⏱ Minutes Played: 60/80 🔋 Position: CB ⸻ A strong, competitive fixture away at Sunderland’s Academy of Light, with Town coming out on top 👊🏻⚽️ A solid shift from the big man at CB. Strong in his duels, composed when needed and worked really well on his individual development points throughout the game 💪🏻 But this trip was made even more special with Roo’s old grassroots coach making the journey to watch him play for the first time since signing for Huddersfield, alongside one of his best mates ❤️⚽️ And, as always, great to see one of the best in the North East, Patta ! 💙 Another great test, another opportunity to learn and improve and another performance Roo can be really proud of. #rooasp #ra2 #huddersfieldtown #htafc #academyfootball

💙 That’s a wrap on 8 brilliant weeks with the North East’s finest. A massive thank you to Patta, Joey, Jake, Luke and Lucas for everything you’ve done for Roo this summer. The quality of every session, the standards you’ve set and the time you’ve invested have been first class. Roo heads back to Huddersfield sharper, stronger and full of confidence, ready for the season ahead. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to prepare. We really appreciate everything you’ve done. Wishing you all the very best for the season ahead… except when we come up against the Black Cats. 😉👊⚽️ Back to work. 💙🤍 #rooasp #ra2 #huddersfieldtown #htafc #academyfootball

Monday Sharpening Session ✅⚽️ Another excellent session with Joey, Luke & Patta at MP Coaching tonight. High intensity, great detail and plenty of learning throughout. Always a brilliant environment to keep developing and sharpening up for the week ahead. Great to see Archie there too, the son of one of Dad’s old RAF friends. Development doesn’t happen by chance… it happens through consistent hard work. 💪⚽ Another top session in the bank tonight with @patta_m10 and @joey_harries A high-quality group session with a great intensity throughout, constantly being challenged to think quicker, move sharper and execute under pressure. These are the environments that help players develop, pushing standards every week and demanding concentration from start to finish. Plenty of learning, plenty of hard work and another step forward in the journey. Grateful for the opportunity to train with talented players and coaches who continue to raise the level. Also thanks to @ashfreestyle as he taught Roo how to balance the ball on his neck a few weeks back and now it’s paying off. The grind continues. ⚽️💪 #rooasp #ra2 #huddersfieldtown #htafc #academyfootball

Season 2025/26 🎬⚽️ What a year it has been. A season full of learning, development, challenges and memories that will stay with Roo for a very long time. The standout moment was undoubtedly been signing for Huddersfield Town, a dream opportunity and a proud moment for our family. Seeing all the hard work, dedication and sacrifices rewarded with the chance to represent the club was incredibly special 💙🤍 From academy fixtures and tournaments to countless training sessions and individual work, every experience has helped Roo grow both as a player and as a young person. The biggest wins this season haven’t been measured by goals, assists or results. They’ve been measured by the confidence gained, the friendships formed, the lessons learned and the love for the game growing stronger every single week 📈⚽️ We’re incredibly proud of the commitment Roo has shown throughout the season. The early starts, long journeys, extra training sessions and willingness to embrace every challenge have all played a part in making this such a memorable year. A huge thank you to all the coaches, teammates, family, friends and everyone who has supported Roo along the way. None of it happens without good people around you. Season 2025/26 will always be remembered as the year Roo became a Terrier. The journey continues. 👊 #rooasp #ra2 #huddersfieldtown #htafc #academyfootball

Double session day completed ✅⚽️ Started the day with a brilliant 1-to-1 session with @callum_johnson from @cjprocoaching , focusing on position-specific details, decision-making and the little habits that make a big difference in games 📈 The attention to detail was top class and gave Roo plenty to think about and work on moving forward. Then it was straight on the road up to Sunderland for a high-level group session with Patta and Lucas 🔥 @patta_m10 @coachljs_ A demanding environment full of quality players, high intensity and plenty of opportunities to be challenged. Exactly the sort of session that pushes players outside their comfort zone and accelerates development. Two very different sessions but both packed with learning. From individual position-specific work to competing in a strong group environment, Roo came away with plenty of valuable coaching points and lots to take into the weeks ahead 💡⚽️ Days like today are all about investing in development, embracing challenges and continuing to learn. Another day in the bank. 👊 #rooasp #ra2 #huddersfieldtown #htafc #academyfootball

Details make the difference 🎯 Working on marginal improvements every session ⚽️ First touch. Both sides. Composure. Small details = big improvements 📈 Thanks as always to @patta_m10 for having Reuben up and to @joey_harries @jakehannah9 and @coachljs_ for a top session. What key things do you focus on most in training? #rooasp #ra2 #huddersfieldtown #htafc #academyfootball
