Every now and then a photograph reminds me why I fell in love with architecture photography. This building gave me the vibes of Iwan Baan’s award winning image of The Torre David Community in Caracas and how architecture is shaped by the people who inhabit it.

This is my submission for the this week’s @52frames challenge: Window Light.

I went into Glasgow, with two locations in mind, all depending on light.
This is the first location, St. Enoch subway station. Its architecture, its glass windows, its lines, make this an architectural dream destination for me. And it worked, as there was a hazy bit of sunshine, adding shadows for the extra challenge.
I played around with various compositions, and this one is my favourite. I put my camera on the central railing, used the flip screen to take this symmetrical composition. It only needed a little edit afterwards, I enhanced the colours and increased the contrast.
Dare I add, how much I enjoyed this week’s challenge?

Glasgow’s St. Enoch underground station, from a different perspective.

I’m travelling today, and had some time at Edinburgh Waverley, to play with camera in long exposure. And I experimented with zoom bursts, underneath the round ceiling window in the waiting room.
This is one of them, with a completely different pattern than in reality ☺️

I’ll not have time to follow anyone, to like photos, or to comment, back to normal after the weekend 🙋🏼‍♀️
