Tomorrow is Election Day. 🗳️

As I look back at these campaign photos, what stands out most are the amazing people.

To everyone who walked with me, volunteered, put up a sign, shared a post, introduced me to a neighbour, stopped me for a conversation, or simply offered a few words of encouragement along the way, thank you.

Four years ago, we set clear priorities for White Rock. We've made significant progress, and I'm proud of what we've accomplished together. But the work isn't finished.

Important projects are still underway, and I'm running for re-election because I believe we need to stay the course, finish what we've started, and keep White Rock moving forward.

Tomorrow, I'm asking for your trust and your vote.

Re-Elect Elaine Cheung for White Rock Council. 🧡💙

And whatever your choice, please make your voice heard and VOTE.

☀️🌻 What a SUPER day at the White Rock Farmers Market! 🌻☀️

Our last Sunday of the season was a busy one, and the sunshine made it even more special! 💛 It was wonderful to see so many people come out to support our amazing local vendors and enjoy the market one last time this year.

💐 One of the sweetest moments of the day was when our Board came down to surprise our incredible Market Manager with a beautiful bouquet of flowers as a thank-you for all her hard work, dedication, and for doing such an amazing job running the market. We couldn’t let the season end without showing her how much she is appreciated! ❤️

🎈 Then Elaine was off to draw the lucky winner of the balloon prize for Korki the klown! A big congratulations to Janet! 🎉🥳

As we wrap up another fantastic season, we want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who makes the White Rock Farmers Market so special.

Last night, our incredible White Rock Farmers Market Board came out to support Vice President Brenda Plowman as she presented the findings of our 2026 Economic Impact Study to Council.

As President, seeing how far we've come is incredibly rewarding. The market's expansion has been a tremendous success, bringing more people to Uptown White Rock, supporting local businesses, creating opportunities for vendors, and strengthening our local economy.

To our amazing board, Brenda Plowman, Jackie Christofferson, Nicole Cormier, Cole Izsak, Simon Rai, and Temma Chow, THANK YOU… your passion, dedication, and countless hours of work made this possible.

A very special thank you to our Market Manager, Patti Oldfield. Patti first suggested expanding the market. At the time, it was a bold idea. Today, the results speak for themselves. Patti, thank you for your unwavering commitment to making the White Rock Farmers Market the best it can be.

I would also like to personally thank Mayor Megan Knight and Councillors Bill Lawrence, Anthony Manning, and Christopher Trevelyan. When the opportunity to expand the market came forward, they had the vision and faith to support it. Their willingness to invest in an idea that could bring economic prosperity to our Uptown core helped make this success possible.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey. What we've accomplished together is remarkable, and I couldn't be prouder of this team.

I truly love working with these amazing people. ❤️🌻

As President of the White Rock Farmers Market, I love walking through the market and running into so many wonderful people!

Today I bumped into our amazing Community Policing volunteers, Mayor Megan Knight, Chris & Jackie McNeil from RE/MAX Colonial Pacific who were one of our sponsors for our FIFA World Cup contest, and my fellow board member Temma Chow, who is also volunteering with the 4th Annual Salmon Sessions Music Festival.

It was also great to see the Semiahmoo Arts Society at the market with a booth where kids and adults could create free art! 🎨

And did you know the White Rock Farmers Market hires youth to work at the market? Our youngest employee is just 14 years old! 🙌

That’s what I love about our market: it’s not just about local food and local makers. It’s about creating opportunities, supporting our community, connecting with neighbours, and giving people a place to gather.

🎉🥂 Celebrating an Incredible 2025 Season! 🥂🎉

Tonight, our Board of Directors and staff gathered at the Washington Avenue Grill to celebrate the end of another amazing year at the White Rock Farmers Market, and what a season it has been!

We are so proud of what our community accomplished together in 2025:

🌟 Over 115,000 visitors in just 26 Sundays
🌟 More than $56,000 in food coupons redeemed, supporting vulnerable seniors, families, and pregnant women
🌟 $1,200 donated to the White Rock Pantry, helping them continue their vital work supporting local residents

To our vendors, volunteers, sponsors, board members, staff, and the thousands of market-goers who came out every week - thank you. You make this market the vibrant, welcoming community hub it is.

We are truly grateful for the support, love, and energy you bring to the market each season. 💛
See you in 2026! 🌱🛍️

This morning, Mayor Knight and Elaine, president of the White Rock Farmers' Market, presented market organizer Patti Oldfield with a certificate celebrating the market's 25th anniversary. Well done to our community gem!

Additionally, tickets were sold for a chance to win prizes donated by vendors, with all proceeds benefiting the market's coupon program for families in need and seniors in our community.

Michele was there, happily handing out cake from Thrifty's, and fellow Councillor Trevalyan joined to help celebrate the milestone.

On hot days we aren't the only ones who need a cool down! 🌭😃 Enter the Kolo Cool Tie sold by one of our talented vendors, @kusenocomfort Products.

We believe it was originally created for humans 😉 and this neck tie is loved by kitchen staff, warehouse staff, roadworks personnel or anyone working in hot environments. Perfect for working in the garden! It just needs soaking in water for 20-30 minutes. Pat dry and wrap around your neck (or your dog's). It will keep you cool all day!

Buy online at kuseno.com or at the White Rock Farmers' Market August 21st & Sept 18th. What do you think about this cool down idea?
