This has probably been one of the most challenging things I've done so far but boy has it also been the most rewarding. I have learned so much about creating, directing, sound production, editing and more in such a short period of time and I'm proud of how this turned out. HUGE shout out to all the voice actors who saw my little script and decided to dedicate a piece of their talents towards the project. It could not have been done without them!

Lewis was the first person to say yes to this. Robin has always been supportive. Draeke knocked it out of the park by always going above and beyond to make the scene flourish. Rowan Alexandria Bennett brought this episode's Skald to life and will be the blueprint for the next. Alexander brought a passion and intensity to the character I didn't think was possible. Patti had me sold on Phoebe as a character and I couldn't think of anyone else to play her. And Tarrah made sure to bring a knowingness and warmth to every scene she's in.

Thank you all and here's to episode 2!

Imagine being stuck with me for 4 hours and 37 minutes.

Well... that’s exactly what happened to these people. 😅

Somehow, they survived.

Yesterday’s Creature Voice Acting workshop covered vocal effects, creature performance, acting choices, voice design, industry realities, and probably more monster noises than any reasonable person should hear in a single afternoon.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined, asked questions and helped make the session so much fun.

As for me, after 4 hours and 37 minutes of talking about monsters, vocal effects, and creature performance...

I think I’ve earned my ice cream. 🍦

A public breakdown calls for public accountability… or at least an apology tour.

In this final episode, Alayah finally comes to terms with her diagnosis.

After going viral for all the wrong reasons, she does the one thing nobody ever really wants to do: apologize publicly. Not because it fixes everything. Not because everyone forgives her. But because accountability has to start somewhere.

Thank you for following YOU NEED HELP! to the very end.

What’s harder: admitting you hurt people, or believing you deserve the chance to grow after?

Kanye, bipolar psychosis, nubian queens, and… deep fake videos??

YOU NEED HELP! - Ep. 5

In this episode, Alayah finds herself at the center of a heated debate about what’s acceptable and what’s not when a person is dealing with psychosis. How do we decide who deserves grace when mental illness is involved?
