Sitting on a transit flight back from overseas on my way to Australia for the next few months, reflecting on the trip and feeling inspired after meeting so many new people and having some extraordinary conversations with people talking about their visions for what they want to do in the industry.

It was 2019 when I first imagined doing hair / hair education differently than the path I’d been shown - to be invited to share my work in the UK felt like a nod to say, “keep going.”

Ideas are one thing, but through engaging my work in the real world and noticing the response has consistently helped me refine what is useful..

Seeing what sparks in someone when words are shared, suggestions offered or space created for them to discover something new about themselves and their work..

That is to say - it seems that being in community and working with the people who are out in the field doing the work are ultimately responsible for any ideas to truly come to life.

So this is a thank you to those who’ve made this moment possible, for those who trust me to walk alongside them - it’s a beautiful journey to share. I believe we all share a similar vision, and much of the challenge is just creating permission to action it and provide examples of its existence.

So from above the clouds as I write this, in the lands of dreaming - to you reading this; keep going. Your ideas are not random and are worthy of pursuing.

We’re getting close, and we’re right on time.

To those I haven’t met yet - I look forward to the time we do ❤️🙏🏻✈️🧘‍♀️🕊️
