HOME is where the people—and their pups—make every day brighter 🐾 Mathematics instructor Paul Murphy ’84, P’16, ’19, ’22 and his loyal sidekick, Cooper, remind us that community is built not just in classrooms, but in everyday moments of care, kindness, and connection. 💙 #home #myandover #phillipsacademy #bigbluenice #andovermagazine #youthfromeveryquarter #finisoriginependet #nonsibi #andoverachiever #teachersofinstagram #dogsmile #andoverforlife

Raised in Andover MA, our very own Coach Murphy ‘84 began his swimming career (after a stint with Andover town football) as a ninth grader at Phillips Academy. Coach Murphy went on to swim in college where he set school pool records during junior and senior year as well as captaining the team in his final season. Prior to leading the girls’ varsity team beginning in 1991, Coach Murphy spent his first years at Andover coaching in the boys program (arriving as a teaching fellow in 1988!). Over the years, Coach Murphy has coached more than 25 All-American swimmers - and two Olympic swimmers as well! Former dean of students, Flagstaff Cluster Dean, instructor in mathematics Director of Summer Session, house counselor, advisor on and on...there are few things Coach Murphy has not done. @pagvswimdive #andoverathletics #finisoriginependet
