coming into this season, I wanted to serve the Lord in this sport. somewhere along the way, I lost track of what that meant. at church on Sunday, I was humbled by the fact that I failed to think like Christ the last month of the season. every game, I focused on my own performance, which never failed to disappoint me. it caused me to put my head down; instead of being the teammate that lifted others heads up, I was selfishly focused on my own disappointment in myself. in that, God revealed to me a problem of my heart: pride disguised in false humility. thank you God for sanctifying and convicting me. I cannot wait to continue to work this off season and come back ready to serve the Lord in my words, thoughts, and actions and to see how He’ll continue to work through this sport and team. thank you Jesus.
