🎙️🎧 SEASON 4 BEGINS OCTOBER 21!!!🎸🤘

After reaching the incredible milestone of 100 episodes of the Youth Gone Mild Podcast that bright an end to Season 3 w/guest Phil Soussan Music, Gen X Joe is pumped to announce that Joe Punk of the band Villain Press and the host of The Rock N Roll & Coffee Show will be his special guest to begin Season 4.

Punk, who is the brainchild behind the band brought together a powerhouse lineup featuring vocalist Jason Mcmaster (Dangerous Toys), drummer Adam Hamilton (L.A. GUNS) and guitarist Paul Lidel (Dirty Looks & Dangerous Toys).

The band has released a four-track EP titled 'No Return.' Punk discusses how the band's sound captures the gritty, loud and unapologetic approach to rock, combining classic hard rock and sleaze with a modern edge - everything you loved from players in the group and the bands they are known for.

Their first single "Race To Be Dead" is out now, and the EP 'No Return' has been available for consumption since October 9, via Golden Robot Records.

So, check out the band, the EP, Punk's show; and this bad ass episode of the Youth Gone Mild Podcast - 'Where Hairlines Fade, But Rock Never Does!'

Cheers to Dirty Looks for their sophomore release “Turn Of The Screw” which dropped October 1st, 1989 on Atlantic Records.

A killer follow up to the bad-ass “Cool From The Wire”; the boys from Erie, Pennsylvania delivering another masterclass in gritty, sleaze-soaked hard rock.

Musically, the band was undeniably drinking from the same well of blues-laced, dirty rock ‘n’ roll that AC/DC pioneers and it really was a great thing in an era where a lot of glam rock lacked bollocks.

This album was almost completely different; Dirty Looks originally recording the tracks with producer Beau Hill, but Atlantic execs scrapped the sessions to find a producer actively dominating the Billboard charts.

The band and label brought in Jon Jansen to completely rework and record the album from scratch—and the gamble paid off, turning “Turn Of The Screw” into the band’s most successful charting release.

The real magic of this record lies in the lethal guitar combination of Henrik Ostergaard and lead guitarist Paul Lidel.

Lidel’s incendiary solos and razor-sharp riffs on tracks like “Nobody Rides For Free” and “C’mon Frenchie” defined the band’s signature high-energy attack and his work on this album solidified his reputation as one of the era’s most criminally underrated guitar heroes, which was on display with Dangerous Toys a few years later when he synced up with those guys in 1994.

Killer band, awesome era and timeless music.
