POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Memories of working with the team of dancers I brought from the US (Caitlin Scranton, Burr Johnson, Paul Singh, and Takemi Kitamura) and their Russian counterparts in Perm, Russia on Peter Sellars’s opera “The Indian Queen” by Henry Purcell at the Perm Opera & Ballet Theater in honor of Peter’s birthday today.

A meaningful artistic exchange before this horrific wartime.

I had a freakin blast at the NYC CI Fest last month. Thanks to everyone who came out and shared the dancing. Special thank you to @gabriellerevlock who created this vision with me. I was so touched to see dancers of different generations and movement backgrounds gather from around the world to nourish our CI community. Let’s keep dancing!

NYC ✨

Thank you @concrete_immersive for hosting me this week as I continue my research and investigation in immersive work and what it means to make art that cuts through the noise. This is such an incredible team of makers and artists in the same space! Thank you.

Thank you for the continued reminder of the importance of “being seen in plain sight” and the “privilege of proximity.” -SBB
“The importance of rigor.” -Amadi Washington
And of course that, “The work is never done. The work is never done. The work is never done.” -Paul Singh

NYC always has a way of reminding me of what it means to be part of something much bigger than myself and I can see the vibrancy of the city everywhere. Also, what a weekend to watch the hometown pride ignite when the Knicks took the NBA Championship—GO KNICKS!

CONCRETE is HERE @lamamaetc !

The program is in full swing, and our 2026 cohort had the immense privilege of beginning Week 1 with a tour of the La MaMa archives — Learning about the theatre’s foundation, historic climb as an experimental theatre hub, and Ellen Stewart’s legacy.

Thank you, Kylie, for sharing your vast La MaMa knowledge!
