Splish splash I am taking a swim. This has been a great spot for making splashes but I always wonder if there is an even better place further down stream. So after a good swim I am ready to go and search for more river access and swimming spots farther down the river. I am always looking for the perfect puppy-beach.

Finally, I’ve searched for the river high and low on our long hike and now it’s time for my swimmies! Come to me sweet waters of the trails and rejuvenate my puppy muscles so I can do more hiking and swimming. You may want to pull up a chair, Dad, I may be swimming for a little while.

Hooray, this is a good sign that says the river is close to our location. Follow me, Dad, I can tell that we’re really close now. Soon I will be splashing away and swimming in the chilly waters. Thankfully there are these signs to help others who aren’t lucky enough to have water-senses find the river.

Wow, check out all these pretty leaves and autumn colors. It’s like running on a rainbow bridge of fallen leaves. Watch me run and play through all of it to get to the river area for swimming. It’s not too cold yet son going to enjoy every opportunity to swim that I can since the cold weather is coming.

I know I’m leading us the right way. See, even this compass here on the ground agrees with me. The river and swimmies are this way, I’m sure of it. Come on, Dad, we are going to follow my water-senses this way until we find the water that I know is out there.

Knock, knock, guess who’s here? Good morning Nick, I wanted to see if my favorite neighbor was home. I couldn’t help but notice your excellent pumpkins and wonder if you had any treats. It’s the middle of the month and I’m not wearing a costume but it’s ever too early to practice Trick-or-Treating.

Throwback to our first short trip with Sōma in july 🫶🏼 still can’t believe she did so well for her first time at a place away from home, the hotel, the hikes we did and the new things she learned that come with mountain life such as rubber carpets, cable cars and its noises, lots of tourists and all the bikers during summertime. Such a good thing to learn so young since she will be confronted with it a lot in her life!

Alright everyone, it’s been a long week but I’m finally here! Who’s ready for the weekend and a puppy-beer? Now I’m going to make the rounds and visit all my friends in the bar. Let’s order a pizza and I can enjoy the Pupstoberfest beer while we wait for food. Fridays after work are the best!

Uh oh, it looks like we’ve reached the end of the trail. That’s no fun, I want keep hiking but there’s a fence blocking the rest of the way. Hold on, I am rerouting my Puppy-maps to find a new way around. If we head through the trees to the right then cut around, we should be able to get around the construction. Hooray, let’s go off-road!

Oooooh, we found a new trail near dads work, so naturally I must explore it to discover its secrets. Will this new trail have bridges, tunnels, or water access? I don’t know but today we are going find out. Follow me, Dad, and embrace your inner puppy-spirit.

We are down at the veterinary office to say hello to all my friends, and to pick up my vitamins. Who is this imposter? You are not a puppy, or even a kitty; what are you? You smell like medicine and Christmas lights. Are you a ghostie? Possibly a good ghostie who wants to share his tricky treats?
