Yesterday exceeded every expectation.

The Woodbridge LinkUp Book Club invited me as their guest author for "The Path to Here," and what I experienced was pure magic. 💛

From the flowers and tablescapes to the REAL FIGS on the table, the themed agendas, and the floral arrangement with an open book (designed by Candace's baby girl), intentional beauty in every corner.

Mrs. Candace Lyons moderated with such skill and care, holding space for real conversation and connection. I felt like I was in a BAR TALKS myself. ❤️
But here's what filled my heart most: these women read the book. And they got it.

They shared what stayed with them, what shifted something inside. They spoke about gaining clarity, seeing resilience as possible, about my courage giving them permission to tend to the little girl inside themselves who's been waiting to be held. 💛

Someone said, "Healing can happen." Another spoke of not just surviving, but thriving.

I spend so much of my life creating spaces where people feel seen and heard. Yesterday, these beautiful women did that for me.

To the Woodbridge LinkUp Book Club, Candace, Crystle, Sue, and Baby Girl, thank you for making my first book club experience amazing. Grateful beyond measure. ✨️

Looking forward to JANUARY 24TH — Book Signing & Talk Back Event. Don't miss it!

WHAT'S HAPPENING:

A friend who needs this 🤝

EXPECT:
Raw storytelling ✨
Authentic connection 🫶🏾
Signed books 📚

This memoir chronicles my journey through childhood trauma, teenage motherhood, and the 28-year reunion with my daughter through DNA testing. It's the story of how we work with "the givings" life leaves us with—and how we become luminaries anyway.

Limited seating. RSVP recommended.
