The skill is never the problem. The engine is. 📈 Every week we see athletes who do everything right. Good hands, good feel for the game, well coached. Then a play comes down to one extra step, and they are half a second late. SPEED IS WHAT LETS THE SKILL SHOW UP It is the RB hitting the hole before it closes. The CB closing on the ball. The WR creating separation. Those athletes did not learn a new skill. They got faster, so the skills they already had started showing up more often. THE MYTH - NOBODY IS BORN FAST AND STUCK THERE! Plenty of parents believe you either have speed or you do not. Genetics set the range. Training decides where inside that range your athlete lands. They get faster by sprinting at full effort, resting enough that every rep stays fast, and getting timed so they know whether any of it is working. 16 MPH TO 18 MPH IN 8 WEEKS! @tatum.turner3 📈 What has made the biggest difference? CONSISTENCY & INTENT. She has committed to the program from day 1 and stayed consistent to the process. She is focused and intentional during the entire session, most importantly during the WARM UP/MOVEMENT PREP. The Standard. No, not every day is a PR. Was it maybe a bit easier on her schedule during the summer when there was no school? Sure. With that said, she has still been one of our most consistent athletes since she started, and always trains with high intent. Mechanically, there were and still are things that we are helping her clean up that will allow her to run even faster and with more efficiency. With the coaching and training she has been able to absorb and apply, we have seen some great results in a short amount of time. When you train consistently with intent, this is not a surpirse. Very Impressive work! Just getting started and can’t wait to watch her put it all together next season. #peak #track #speedtraining
