I’ve been so blessed to spend the last few months learning about God and what He says about our day to day lives… I’m so grateful for the super cool amazing friends that I have gotten to learn and grow and struggle with.

YWAM

The past six months have been truly life-changing. I had the privilege of spending three months doing Bible school in Maui, followed by three more months in the Philippines and Oahu. I can’t even begin to count how many things I learned or the incredible memories made during this time. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me along the way.
During these missions, I had the opportunity to serve in many different ways—homeless ministry (handing out food and sharing the gospel), kids’ ministry, and helping various organizations like food banks, Hope for the Island, the Salvation Army, and local churches. I absolutely loved being part of these ministries and seeing how God was working in people’s lives.
While I was away, I kept being reminded that many of the same struggles we were serving in—poverty, pain, fatherlessness, hunger, strongholds, and brokenness—also exist back home in BC, Canada. The needs we see around the world are also present in our own communities.
Through this, I realized I had a choice. I could spend six months doing ministry and then return home treating it like it was just an “experience.” Or I could choose to let it change the way I live permanently.
As Christians, we often separate our personal lives from ministry and think it only happens at church or on missions. But that’s not how we’re meant to live. Wherever we go—at work, at school, at home, or with friends—we have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus and live a life of ministry every day.

Most people say vacations are all about the destination, after this trip I came back with a different perspective. Yes, admiring God’s creation seemed like everything, but it’ll never top the people I did it with!

Congrats to Elijah, Payton, and Tiana on their missions this past fall. The Lord works in mysterious ways, and I love seeing how he’s working through all of you!
