FALL IN 🍂 🍁 | in honor of freshman year being over, i wanted to share something that i got to collaborate on creating. fall in is a piece that was created in order to showcase dance as a way of “found family”. it was meant to showcase how important your connections to others is and how that can be created just by sharing the love of dance. along with this, the concept felt cozy, much like an autumnal vibe, which is where we got fall (the season) in (fall into each other). loved this piece and the people i worked with ♥️ ♥️

Today marks 12 DAYS until Company One’s Show “The Rhythm of Nature” and our very first First-Year Spotlight, featuring Payton!

“My name is Payton Brewer, and I am from Oxford and Lapeer, Michigan. Dance is important to me because it has always been my expression of living. Even when I was little and not yet committed to dance, I would sit in the audience at my mom’s dance shows and live in the moment. Dance is a connection between my mom and I, and a good reason why we are so close. I find dance in everyday moments; creating a tempo when I walk down the sidewalk, tapping to give my feet something to do, and overall exploring creative movement. Something I want others to know about me is that when I get older, I want to open my own studio, not just for dance, but also for music and theatre. I love all aspects of the arts, and I would love to keep myself surrounded by them.”

See Payton perform in Company One’s concert “The Rhythm of Nature” on December 6th at 4 pm! Tickets are available at the link in our bio!
