I thought it was going to be forever July but then August came and I got a job finally. A really great company. I’ll be posting more about them in pure excitement. 💜✨

But right now here’s some of what I did on my 3 month job hunt. This was the first Labubu I have bought since maybe January. I’ve been off them and now this haired beauty has joined my family.

I grew my hair out. It’s that not deep.

I made this cake for Chads birthday. It’s donuts in a row with donut crumbs sprinkled on top. It’s a masterpiece in baking. 🍩 🎂

I did one (almost two) Blizzard puzzles that I’ve kept sealed for no apparent reason.

I got really into podcasts and the news and I watched every single press conference and political drama/terror and listened to Regime Change on audiobook. Great book, miserable listen.

I started making a solo TTRPG home-brewed using Strixhaven and then got lost in my own lore. Will I return? Who knows.

I convinced myself I need to write a horror novel and started and quit a dozen times. Now I just have quotes and ideas all scattered in notion, my phone notes, and my terrifying brain. 🧠

The first place Chad took me to try and cheer me up at the beginning of all this was a horror themed coffee shop. The bathroom walls looked like my high school notebooks and this painting made me realize that I’m too poor to ever own this. I wanted to hang it in my living room and when people came over and said “what the fuck is that!?” I would say “oh, that’s Art.”

Lastly I rejoined Instagram where you all have been sitting and not texting me. And I connected with a ton of really sad people on LinkedIn all struggling to find work. This world is lonely sometimes. I’m going to text you people more. Deal with it. 😬

My reward at the end of this is I get to finally play the Lord of Hatred expansion. Look at my Gladys in all her glory!

First big solo adventure was a success. Thanks Vegas, but I’m tired and want to pet my dogs.
