The 3 X 5 Drill is one of our staple go to Drills that I challenge everyone to add to their training program.

The drill is done at the 5 yard line and from the holster the shooter engages the liaison with five rounds transitions to the 3 x 5 card with five rounds transitions to the business card with five rounds in five seconds or less

The drill stresses speed and accuracy across three different targets and three different target sizes which incorporates various throttle control, tempos, and site pictures.

Don’t worry about speed at first focus solely on accuracy. Once the shooter is able to consistently engage all targets without missing then begin to incorporate a faster draw stroke, faster trigger control on the zone and the 3 x 5 card and within a matter of weeks, you can reach the goal of five seconds or less.

If you’re looking to level up, Join us in our upcoming Absolute Pistol Accuracy Course on April 4th at @secureamericanowtrainingcenter

Ran the new P365 XMacro and ADM .300 Blackout through zero today. Very impressed with both—especially the .300 Blackout. Training wasn’t my best, but growth doesn’t come from easy days. Learn, adapt, and stay consistent.

Everybody loves daytime range work.
Few train when it actually matters.

Low-light changes everything — what you see, what you miss, how you move, and how fast you react. Target identification becomes critical. Mistakes become costly.
