Mohanji at the World Trade Center, New York | Investing in a Purposeful Future

As Mohanji’s three-week visit to the USA approached its conclusion, New York became the setting for a meaningful gathering of leaders from diplomacy, business, finance and philanthropy.

On October 21, Mohanji attended an evening dialogue at the World Trade Center on the theme Investment in an Uncertain World: Geopolitics, Spiritual Guidance, Capital and a More Purposeful Future.

Initiated by Dr. Vladimir Božović, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia in New York and President of the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York, and hosted by Lu Zhou of Vanquour Wealth Management, the gathering brought together distinguished guests to explore the relationship between leadership, investment, spirituality and the future.

At the heart of Mohanji’s address was a fundamental question: how do we invest the most precious resource we have: TIME?

Mohanji reminded the audience that our choices, attention and use of time shape not only our own lives but also the world around us. He spoke about the importance of inner stability, adaptability and integrity, emphasising that ambition must be balanced with flexibility and that stability in our relationships, work and commitments is essential.

“Our equilibrium is our birthright.”

Kindness was another central theme. Mohanji encouraged the audience to make kindness a priority in every interaction, explaining how selfless actions can strengthen our self-esteem and bring greater meaning to our lives.

The discussion also explored preparedness and resilience in an uncertain world, including the importance of adaptable structures, independent operations and practical contingency planning.

Speaking about the true measure of success and leadership, Mohanji offered a clear perspective:

“If I am worth anything, it should be measured on the transformation of the people.”

The gathering highlighted the value of bringing together different fields of expertise while keeping human values at the centre of progress.

As Mohanji reminded the audience:

“The only capital we have is time. Where you invest your time, that makes you or breaks you.”
