Sometimes you just gotta add the music and watch the poetry. ✨🏀

🚨 One thing I really stress is game-speed work, pace, details & rhythm.

➡️ if you don’t train that way, you can become erratic in games.

🫡 I also try to make my guys uncomfortable with different movements, changes of pace, and situations 📝

➡️ If everything feels easy, your game won’t elevate.

‼️‼️ For the advanced players with plenty of in-game experience — it’s time to challenge yourself differently.

Put your head down. Keep working.
Trust the process. 🏀

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT IS MORE THAN JUST WORKING OUT. 🏀

Always great work with one of my favorites on BothEnds @4hundoo_ 🔥

I genuinely love this game — and I love the behind-the-scenes work, the trench work that most people never see.

The repetition.
The teaching.
The corrections.
The uncomfortable work.
The hours invested in getting better.

➡️ There’s a lot of labor that has to be put in to truly develop your game.

My only focus is simple 🔑

🚨 If you have someone taking quality time away from their own family to invest in your kids and help make them better, don’t take that for granted.

There’s a lot of time, sacrifice, and energy that goes into helping someone else’s child grow — both as a player and as a person.

**Real development takes commitment from everybody.**

🚨🔒 Some defensive tips

FIGHT THROUGH SCREENS 🧱 —

➡️ 2 Options

As an on-ball defender, once you see the screen coming, CLOSE THE GAP.

Don’t give the screener room to knock you off your line.

Two options @4hundoo_ and i workked on:

1️⃣ SKINNY THE SCREEN ➡️ Close the gap

✅️ Get your body tight to the screener and turn your body sideways to minimize the space they can hit.

2️⃣ RIGHT SHOULDER IN

✅️ With the ball handler attacking left, slightly turn your right shoulder inward as you fight through. This helps you absorb the contact without getting knocked off balance.

THE 🔑Don’t run into the screen. Beat the screen with your body position.

➡️ Close the gap. Get skinny. Stay connected.

Mr Lockdown 🔐 @4hundoo_
Has a defensive mentality and has been one of the best defenders.

Im working with him to add more. Especially when defending different type of players.

In this reel, we're working on angles, cross-step, and being a pest without fouling.
