A few scenes from Sam and Lori Pipitone’s unforgettable wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. Doubly honored to play both at the rehearsal dinner (with Strummin&Drummin) and at the wedding party with the mighty @privatestockband from southern Florida. We kept the dance floor hopping for hours, no set breaks or even pauses between songs, pure energy. #dmvprivateevents #dmvprivateparties #dmvweddings #strumminganddrumming

We strive for an intimate musical and ambiental experience no matter the setting. That’s true whether we’re playing at a church, house party, company event or outdoor community event like here along the banks of the Potomac (Navy Yard). The process of crafting intimate and customized shows starts well before the performance—the seeds are planted in earlier conversations with the host about their vision for the event, the ambiance and music. If you are planning a special event in DC, Maryland or Virginia, we’d love to help you create the right atmosphere—send me a message. @alexappelbaum on guitar and vocals, @pdp_grooves on the congas. Hat tip to Sir Elton John. Booking 2027, limited availabilities in 2026. #strumminganddrumming #dmvprivateevents #dcprivateevents #dmvprivateparties #dmvweddings

Good times playing at the annual conference of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM.org) in Baltimore. This definitely was not a sleepy group — they had us on our toes and we had them on their feet. One of the fun things about playing hand percussion is the sheer range of instruments to learn. These two African drums, the djembe and the talking drum, are tops on my list of fresh sounds to integrate into the duo experience. Been playing them for many moons but only now do I feel ready to blend them into the mix. #dmvmusicians #strumminganddrumming #dmvprivateevents #drumsofdc

Let’s make your next event an experience. Looking out over the next year do you see any special occasions on the horizon? A celebration perhaps, like an anniversary, milestone birthday or reunion? Or maybe it’s a company event such as a holiday party, gala or client appreciation event. Maybe there’s no ‘occasion’ at all other than an excuse to enjoy the company of loved ones, in style. Whatever the occasion booking the right live music can turn an event into an unforgettable shared experience. DM me to discuss how we can help you realize that vision. With @alexappelbaum on guitar and vocals, @pdp_grooves on congas and @dontmesswiththedude on video. #strumminganddrumming #dmvmusicians #dmvprivateevents #dcprivateevents #dmvprivateparties
