Newport wedding this morning at the New York Yacht club & it was right in the middle of the marathon path

So I got myself as close to the venue as I could with my car and walked the rest of the way

Here’s what July in print looks like ⬆️

Each of these amazing projects, so different from the next. Statues & secret gardens, to jungle maps of Costa Rica. Whimsical cross sections of the Maine coast, to alligators on the Florida golf course. Shrimp holding cocktails, to twirling under the Flat Iron mountains, to a sunset winery with a squirrel butler.

The variation, the whimsy, the humor, the personality- that’s my favorite part of it all. It’s so exciting to move projects to print, almost more exciting to see all the different projects together. I love seeing the art, illustrations, patterns, and colors of all these different weddings together in one.

July- all about finalizing and production- moving projects to print- giving life to those drafts. August- quite literally back to the drawing board to turn save the dates into full formal suites.

I couldn’t do it without these amazing people who trust me with their designs, the incredible print magic of @printswellfulfillment, the lovely people at @uspostalservice , and my secretary 🐈

There’s just something about New England.

Maybe it’s because it’s where I grew up. Maybe it’s the salty air, the hydrangeas, the weathered cedar shingles, lobster rolls on picnic tables, or evenings that somehow always feel a little slower.

No matter where photography takes me, every summer I get to come home for a little while. And every year, it reminds me why this place will always have a piece of my heart.
