Back in 2011 I convinced a small group of locals to venture up to the top of Sheep Mtn to climb some boulders I had found. The very top of the mtn hosts a small collection of really good boulders, similar to the style of climbing West of Rustic, but its a grueling hour+ hike uphill. @pdrizzll was there on the camera of course and sent me these vids recently.
1. Close repeat burn on Phantom Menace v9
2. @chorvat9 with a classy early repeat
3. FA of Ghost Train v6 on the same amazing bloc
4. Bonus footy of our old dog Frank, the best swim dog i’ve ever seen. He would cross the Poudre to get sticks for hours, even in peak flows 😬

Its a long haul, but the Skyline Boulders have some amazing problems. Thanks for the trip down memory lane @pdrizzll !

Good meeting last night planning events. Even talks of bringing the fundraiser back this year! Thanks to @pdrizzll for sitting in and helping us plan!

We are still waiting for approval on locations for the kiosks, but keep an eye out for more on that and other trail day opportunities. Enjoy this beautiful weather and climb on!

Eli and I had a killer time up the Poudre with an old friend @pdrizzll. Danielle and I used to frequent Poudre pretty regularly, but not having been up there in almost 18 years, Paul was awesome enough to show Eli and I old and new stuff. Everyone crushed and sent some killer problems!!

FA of Log Jammin' (~V9) at Thunder Ridge by @pdrizzll circa 2010! We all know the hype about @nathaniel.coleman's recent addition, No One Mourns The Wicked aka Defying Gravity Sit, but did you know that folks were trudging out here for those good good FAs 15 years ago? Some of us did but mostly I presume not. Thunder doesn't have the highest concentration of boulders in the South Platte, but it could be best in terms of consistent rock quality!
Don't forget to DM us your contributions!

You must have a current fishing license or CPW day pass to park at the trailhead. Stay on the trail and don't hike the road. Use wag bags and other LNT practices, etc. See MP for more 411.
