Traveled to LA with the #WIPRunCub girlies for the Nike After Dark Tour Half Marathon! Epic course, epic vibes, epic humans, and epic memories!!!!!!!! 🙌🏽🫶🏽🏃🏽‍♀️🎀 Not epic - my AirPods dying at mile 9, my watch dying at mile 10, and the chaffing scars I acquired during months of training 🙃☺️

Last week WIP Run Club flew to LA to run 13.1 miles for the @nikerunning #afterdarktour. While running the rolling 6.5 miles out and back I’ve never felt more safe and supported through the fans, community and @nikerunning brand and experiences along the course including very tight security and road and driveway blockages. The privilege I had for my safety carried a heavy weight as 18,000 women from around the world ran side by side, different races, languages, bodies, flags, families, just as blocks were the protests where people were not safe. Months of training showed up in my ability to run the entire course and beat my pace record, coming in at 2:22!! Thanks to #wiprunclub for an amazing weekend. When’s the next one?

One of our most favorite activities is taking the dogs out to Thousand Acres and rewarding their best off-leash behavior with a pup cup from the homies @sugarpinedrivein However now we now have our very own human reward in their new Western Bacon Pulled Pork Sandwich featuring our thick sliced bacon amongst sweet and tangy BBQ sauce and tenderly smoked pork shoulder. Sebastiano’s in Sellwood is the thing dreams are made of: a family owned Sicilian Bakery and Sandwich Shop that continuously creates incredible focaccia, muffuletta’s, hoagies, breakfast sandos and THE BEST COOKIES AND CAKES OF YOUR LIFE.
