100 years of wise Pooh-nanegans 🍯 this silly old bear still gets life better than most of us.

When my nieces ask me, “Why Pooh?”, well cause he doesn’t give much crap about being impressive, fitting in, or having life all figured out.

He just wants his honey, his friends, a little adventure, and the freedom to wear his crop-top T-shirt. And honestly? SAME 🤷🏻‍♀️

There’s something magical about growing older without outgrowing your love for characters.💛

Kicking off FAHM the best way I know how: cooking for the community 🇵🇭

Had such a good time doing a cooking demo @filipinoislandfestalameda. I loved getting to share our tofu sisig, especially with folks who had never tried it before. A few people even told me they couldn’t believe it was tofu, which honestly always makes me smile 😊

The one thing I completely forgot to share during the demo was the inspiration behind the dish 🤦🏻‍♂️ so I guess I’ll have to save that story for another cooking demo.

Seeing familiar faces in the crowd and running into friends I haven’t seen in way too long made the day even more special.

Big shoutout to @piabarton and @rolobmartin for putting together another amazing event. I love seeing our community come together to celebrate, eat good, and spend time with each other.

And a special thank you to my sister for always being my biggest fan and supporter. I really wouldn’t be who I am without you. And to my wife, thank you for always coming in clutch with the assist and being there whenever I need you. 🫶🏼

Here’s to a whole month of honoring who we are and where we come from 🇵🇭

I couldn’t make it to the Filipino Island Festival in Alameda last weekend, so I couldn’t shop properly but I knew what I was looking for! I gave my dad a list, crossed my fingers and hoped he would find everything for me… and he delivered!! And geez it was MAINIT-INIT☀️ that day too 🥵 Di Ba?!?

Stopped by the Filipino Island Fest in Alameda today. It was so HOT but that didn’t stop the Filipinos from coming out! It was crazy busy! Glad I was able to stop by some familiar shops and found some new ones along the way #filipinoamericanhistorymonth

🇵🇭Mabuhay Market was PACKED last weekend- with attendees and with cool vendors. 👀 Watch this walk-through to see who showed up if you missed out!

I dropped in to spend time with family over wine (@oldsugarmill), shop Filipino-themed merch, and see what unique fusion dishes might be present. I was having a good time so I wasn’t focused on making too bloggy of a vlog.

Since attendance was high, food ran out FAST. My big regret was not snagging one of the most beautiful cookies I’ve ever seen in person by @sweetprncookies before they sold out! Their cookies actually taste really good too (they gave out samples). Also, I would’ve ordered quite differently and a lot more food at @BahayKuboFoodTruck. Thankfully, I’ve tried a lot of their stuff already. Also, S/O to Ren of one of my favorite Filipino food booths wherever it shows up (@ubeareabakery) for letting us try some of their yummy offerings which I hadn’t had before (we saved their place in line).
