I’m working on using this footwork on every ball at the back. The reason is simple: with an open stance you’re back in a neutral position way faster, so you’re ready for the next ball sooner.

Right now I’m doing it really slow on purpose, especially after my injury. First learn the footwork, repeat it until it’s automatic. Over the next few sessions I’ll pick up the pace step by step, so that at a higher tempo I can still pull this off without thinking about it.

Watched my forehand volley back from training and I’m doing the same thing wrong on all four of them.

My left arm is doing nothing. It’s either hanging there or I’m using it for balance, but it’s not pointing at the ball. And because of that I’m not turning my shoulders either, I’m just opening up with my right arm. So the whole volley becomes arm only.

I’ve noticed this since I started recording myself, and there’s more wrong than just this haha, but this is the first thing I want to fix. Next sessions I’m going to focus on turning both shoulders and keeping my left arm up and pointing at the ball.

OLSSON'S OUTSTANDING TOUCH. 🔥

That ball had just enough to leave the opponent guessing. What a touch from Olsson! 🤩

To give players a spectacular Cupra experience during their game, @shon_price painted a huge mural next to the centre court!

📸 RacketSportSchiedam P250 Bright Insurance Open

Another tournament where we lose in the first round. This match had two very different faces. In the first set, we broke our opponents in the opening game, but they broke straight back. We broke them again, only for them to break back once more. Eventually, they managed to break us and we lost the first set 5-7.

In the second set, we lost a bit of our sharpness and found ourselves down 0-5. We managed to fight our way back to 3-5, but our opponents held their serve to close out the match.

Still, I gained some new insights and identified a few key areas to work on after this match. 💪🏼

Thanks for playing, @tobiasfrankenn! Next week, we’ll have another chance in HD4 at @peakzpadel Oisterwijk. 🚀

Wat een topweekend in Alkmaar! 💪🔥

We’re back after a little break, back on the court and ready to focus on our attacking game! 🎾

I really love this drill because you know what kind of ball is coming, but there’s enough variation to keep you on your toes. You still have to prepare well, execute the right technique and stay active throughout the drill.

It’s not about hitting hard, it’s about hitting IN!
