We had a fabulous Halloween-themed time at our NO KINGS Vote Early event today! Thanks to all who braved the rain and wind to kick off NC's 17 day early voting period! We had hot chocolate and great company to keep us warm, entertained, and laser *FOCUSED* on early voting. Most of all, thanks to our partners at Common Cause NC, Guilford For All, Red Wine and Blue, Singing Resistance Greensboro, Guilford County Board of Elections, Piedmont Raging Grannies, and the Rev. Steven Tate who led the GSO Singing Resistance. You all are AMAZING! Guilford County is blowing it out so far for day one of early voting. Let's continue this trend for all 17 days! We got this!

OCTOBER 15TH - EARLY VOTING BEGINS TODAY IN NC-

Here is a list of early voting sites for Guilford County. Also do not forget about the Constitutional Amendments on your ballot. These amendments are harmful to our communities. Please read the graphic from our friends at @carolinafederation to get the breakdown on just how harmful these amendments will be. They will be very hard to change once enshrined in our state Constitution. Vote AGAINST all three amendments!

Reservation and trust land is 3.8% of the lower 48 today.

This is how the rest was taken.
Starting with the first colonial counties on the coast by 1894 the record shows 1.82 billion acres taken from Native nations.
That includes Black Indigenous nations and Afro-Indigenous communities, Black Seminoles, Freedmen of the Five Tribes, Creole and Atakapa-Ishak families in Louisiana, and other Black Native peoples whose land and kinship were erased twice in the records.

In California, 18 treaties were signed in 1851 and 1852. The Senate never ratified them and kept them secret until 1905. The land was taken anyway.
The names on the map are the nations whose land it was.

This is Garrett Langley the CEO of Flock Cameras, apparently his business address and Google Photos of his residence have been released by Internet sleuths online and he’s not to happy about it. He says he values his privacy.

Guess what Gary?! SO DO WE! Hahahaha oh the karma. You think you can surveil us and make billions off it? Ok, we’ll do the same. Just without the billions.

Lake Townsend. One example of drought.

Data Centers need water. Lots of it .. for those stupid flyers and those who can't think for themselves.

@marikayismayor this looks... What's the word? Low. Not an expert.. this looks concerning. Alarming? Seeing beautiful heron standing in the middle with the water up to his lil knees. A lil heartbreaking.

Soo my question is .... Have these current conditions and the projections of climate been considered in this lil cute moratorium yall are doing or what? As of this morning Lake Townsends down 68 inches, and .. And that's with all this rain .. hmm, I am just a poor senseless music man, no science man at all.. but... If this was one of our hottest Summers on record and they're only getting hotter, which would mean there will probably be more droughts where will we get water from for our familias when the data centers have gotten their fill.. asking for some friends in Greensboro... That's just me asking on the surface level...it's hard to hear excuses when ya see other cities in our state moving differently.. This just seems too obvious.. I have yet to hear anyone be like, "dude!!! data centers rule and I can't wait till they build another one in my city." So, what are we doing?

Am I over-reacting?
Oh Leo's, Amiright?
I'm working on it.

Hey @cityofgreensboro i do this because I care.. I promise I don't wanna be a thorn in ya side... The last thing I want is for y'all to sick your people on me since yall got free rein and all. I'm just a worried dude in a city he cares about filled with people he loves.

Sooo Yea I'm against data centers...
This is dumb

They are applauding for those leaving, not for the war criminal who stands up there to give a speech filled with lies and hatred.

Kudos to all who left.
