It’s ALWAYS a good day at Silverstone! 🏁

Spent the day with @michelinuk learning all about their tyre tech-specifically the new Primacy 5 energy and Pilot Sport 5 energy-while putting some Porsches and Cupras to the test on the handling tracks and skid pads!

These tyres are built to increase EV range, lower fuel consumption, and still deliver high-level performance. Having the right rubber on your car is way more important than most people think! 😉

As the racing season draws to a close, it felt like a fitting time to complete my Level 2 in Motorsport Coaching with @ourmotorsportuk - the National Governing Body of Motorsport in the UK 🇬🇧

As an existing ARDS Instructor through my work at @silverstonecircuit, a lot of my time is spent ‘telling’ someone how to drive; WHEN to brake, HOW to brake, WHEN to steer, HOW to steer, WHEN to accelerate, HOW to accelerate (and much, much more!). Usually, this for a matter of minutes as part of a track driving experience.

As a Coach, I enjoy working with passionate and committed individuals who want to better themselves; as trackday participants, racing drivers, and even performance road drivers - over a number of hours, days, weeks, months or years 🚗💨

If you have ANY car that you love, or a fast car you haven’t tamed yet, or you’re curious about getting your race licence, or perhaps your racing journey has already begun - please drop me a message to see if and how I could help you 📥

Only offered as a one off colour in 2012, Ipanema Blue Metallic was set to only be available for the 997.2 variant of the 911; of course we now have it across the PTS colour palette, but originally this almost tropical ocean metallic blue colour was only created to showcase the Ipanema region of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

Stays away from home often require plenty of planning researching places to stay that are accessible for Jenson and his wheelchair.

We’ve had an incredible experience thanks to The Muscle Help Foundation who arranged everything for Jenson’s Porsche Experience Centre Silverstone programme, with break away at the incredible Whittlebury Park Hotel & Spa.

We didn’t realise how close Whittlebury Park is to the Silverstone Circuit. As you enter the vast hotel carpark we excitedly heard the fabulous sounds of the cars zooming around the circuit next door! Although this can’t be heard once inside the Hotel, you still have the racing excitement from discovering the many car racing memorabilia adorning the walls and displays and even the conference rooms and bar have the same theme!

So all the boxes were certainly ticked for a fully immersive car themed hotel, but how about accessibiiity?

Easy access with wide corridors and open spaces, we certainly know as Jenson was one of ten wheelchair users within the group and we still had plenty of room for him to do doughnuts down the main corridors.

Meals were delicious with huge variety to choose from and easily reachable for Jenson from his wheelchair. He was so excited to use the pancake machine too!

Lifts are available but only accommodate a wheelchair and couple of people at a time, however the team are superb at arranging luggage to be brought from vehicles to your room and are great at helping in the bar and restaurant areas.

Perfect location for our visit to Silverstone and it was also great to wander around the accessible grounds for an evening stroll.

We didn’t get time to use the Spa, so as Jenson says ‘don’t worry we can go next time’ 😂.

Wonderful stay for our perfect time away!

Thank you to everyone who enabled this break away to happen. Forever grateful.
