Yes it's messy, yes it's complicated... But all that complexity underneath actually makes it simpler to play while keeping everything sounding great.

With a remarkably low parts count for what it does, this board gives me @that_pedal_show wet dry via the @thegigrig humdinger, plus the ability to use an FX loop for my wet effects if I want to via the @brightonionpedals loop insert on my wet side. Don't want either of those things? Fine! Just don't plug those cables in and it still works as a straight-through into the front of a single amp. I'm also using one loop of my QMX as a breakout into my acoustic preamp pedal which I can XLR straight to front of house, killing the signal to the electric amp(s) while in use.

And it means that even though it looks like utter chaos underneath, all I have to think about while I'm playing is which pedals I want to turn on and just hit those buttons. Everything else just sorts itself out regardless of the amp setup I'm playing into. Complicated now = simple on stage!

Getting ready to heat up the soldering irons and coffee machine for the next PEDAL BUILDING WORKSHOP in collaboration with @pedalpatchuk.

Sat 9th May, 10:00-17:00 - Newhaven, East Sussex

Currently JUST ONE SPACE LEFT for what will be a really enjoyable day, where I personally guide the small group of fellow guitar gear enthusiasts through all the steps of building their own boost/drive/distortion pedal using traditional tagboard and point-to-point techniques.

Head to PEDALPATCH.CO.UK now to grab this last spot!

I’ve designed this pedal specially for these workshops, incorporating many of the fundamental building blocks of classic analogue pedal circuitry into one great sounding boost/overdrive/distortion.

All necessary tools, pedal kit, instructions and expert guidance provided for you to build and proudly take home your own hand-wired pedal.

A little rig rundown from some recent theatre things. Using the @overwaterbasses J5 Custom & Hollowbody 6. Both strung with @labellastrings RX round wounds. Into my @stringracks PB containing some @brightonionpedals @pedalpatchuk @goliath_fx @origineffects etc. plus the good old @acscustom IEMS & @designacable custom cables 🎸🔥
